CORRIGENDUM
IN a notice published in Gazette 1958, No. 48, at page 1038, declaring land taken for a Government work near Maheno and not required for that purpose to be Crown land, in the Schedule thereto, for the words “parts Sections 23 and 24”, read “parts Sections 2 of 23 and 24”.

Declaring Lands in North Auckland, Wellington, and Otago Land Districts Vested in the Auckland, Wanganui, and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time by Proclamation declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wanganui Education Board, and the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for police purposes (residences); and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 8th day of September 1958.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of Crown land in the Canterbury Land District containing 2 roods 22·8 perches, situated in the Borough of Lyttelton, Canterbury R.D., and being Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 19949, being part Rural Section 1. Part certificate of title, Volume 573, folio 10, Canterbury Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 29th day of August 1958.
