Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions
of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as
they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not
apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof
the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940, to the person described in column 1 of the
Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade
motor in the course of his employment for the employer
described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not
authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years,
to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of
the Traffic Regulations 1956
PURSUANT to clause (2) of regulation 41 and regulation 63
of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport
hereby approves, for the purposes of the said regulations, red
reflectors of the type described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Any red reflector bearing the certification mark of
the British Standards Institute together with the letters and
figures BS 2515, GRI, or GR 2, and the manufacturer's name
or trademark.

Extending a 30 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives notice as follows:
-
That Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act
1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956†,
dated the 14th day of April 1958,* which relates to an area
in Putaruru Borough is hereby revoked. -
The portions of roads specified in the First Schedule to
this notice are hereby excluded from the limitation as to
speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949. -
The portion of road specified in the Second Schedule to
to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone
for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Putaruru Borough—
-
That portion of the Tirau-Wairakei State Highway No. 41
from a point 4 chains south-east of its junction with Market
Street to the south-eastern boundary of Putaruru Borough. -
That portion of the Kihikihi-Arapuni-Putaruru Main
Highway No. 314 from its junction with Golf Street to the
south-western boundary of Putaruru Borough.
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Putaruru Borough-
That portion of the Tirau-Wairakei State Highway No. 41
from a point 4 chains south-east of its junction with Market
Street to a point 8 chains south-east of its junction with
Sholson Street.

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (2) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle
Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby
revokes that Warrant dated the 11th day of March 1952t
which relates to the classification of roads in Waimea County
and hereby approves the Waimea County Council’s proposed
classification of roads described in the Schedule hereto and
situated in Waimea County.

Classification of Roads in Mangonui County
PURSUANT to regulation 3 (11) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle
Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby
revokes that portion of the Warrant dated the 24th day of
March 1951† in so far as it applies to the classification in
class IV of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and
hereby approves the Mangonui County Council’s proposed
variation in the classification of the said roads as set out in
the Schedule hereto.
