BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Improvement Loan 1958, £10,000—First Issue of £5,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Council of the Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, being the first issue of the Streets Improvement Loan 1958, £10,000, authorised to be raised under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing new footpaths and culverts within the borough, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-three one-thousandths of a penny (0·043d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 23rd day of July 1958.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electricity Extension Loan 1958, £200,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the distribution system and electrical reticulation of the Council's electricity undertaking, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and eighty-one thousand four hundred and thirteen/one million two hundred and fifty thousandths of a penny (181,431/1,250,000d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The Christchurch City Council at a meeting held on the 28th day of July 1958 passed the above resolution.

BOROUGH OF PAPATOETOE

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby resolves:

"That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £19,000 authorised to be raised by the Papatoetoe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of financing the cost of erecting a new fire station, the said Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of .2084d. (decimal two nought eight four pence) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Papatoetoe; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of £25,000 to be known as the Omnibus Purchase Loan. 1958, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing five new omnibuses, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of two hundred and eleven thousandths of a penny (0·211d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of eight years, until such loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 28th day of July 1958.
