AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD
SPECIAL ORDER
Loan No. 23, 1957, £3,000,000; 2nd Issue, £1,000,000
THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944, and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and their respective amendments, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by special resolution, intended to operate as a special order, to borrow the sum of one million pounds (£1,000,000) as a special loan and to be portion of a special loan known as Loan No. 23, 1957, £3,000,000, to be applied for the purpose of continuing the first stage works of the Manukau main drainage scheme for the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District, and meeting costs and expenses and carrying on works connected with, or incidental to, the scheme.
The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 4th day of June 1958. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star on the 9th and 23rd days of June 1958, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on the 2nd day of July 1958.
The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 2nd day of July 1958 in the presence of—

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Bridge Replacement Loan 1958, of £3,000
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above Council held on the 16th day of June 1958, the following resolution was passed:
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Te Kuiti Borough hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000) authorised to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting footbridges, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PALMERSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING RATE
Water Supply and Reticulation Loan £12,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Palmerston Borough Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £12,000 authorised to be raised by the Palmerston Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the supply and reticulation of water for the Borough of Palmerston, the said Palmerston Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Palmerston Borough comprising the whole of the Borough of Palmerston; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Palmerston Borough Council on the 1st day of July 1958.

WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THE following resolution has been duly passed by the Wallace County Council:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wallace County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £90,000 authorised to be raised by the Wallace County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of reconstructing and sealing roads and main highways and of reconstructing bridges, the said Wallace County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·148d. in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property within the County of Wallace; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Library Loan 1957, £12,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,500 authorised to be raised by the Whakatane Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a public library and two shop premises within the Borough of Whakatane, the said Whakatane Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-one hundredths of a penny (0·21d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whakatane, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year until the loan is fully repaid.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at the ordinary meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council held in the Council Chambers, Whakatane, on Monday, 30 June 1958.

EAST COAST BAYS BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £11,300 authorised to be raised by the East Coast Bays Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting two staff houses and borough depot buildings, the said East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one six pence (·16d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of the East Coast Bays; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on £6,000 on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September, and yearly on £5,300 on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £360,000 authorised to be raised by the East Coast Bays Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of water reticulation of the Borough, the said East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of two decimal seven pence (2·7d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of East Coast Bays; and that such special rate shall be annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
