Limited Speed Zones Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 21st day of October 1953,* which relates to an area at Waitahanui in Taupo County is hereby revoked.

  2. The portion of road specified in the First Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

  3. The portions of road specified in the Second Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.


FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Taupo County—

That portion of the National Park - Taupo State Highway No. 23 at Waitahanui from a point four chains north of the bridge over the Waitahanui Stream to a point 24 chains south of the said bridge.


SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Taupo County—

Those portions of the National Park - Taupo State Highway No. 23 at Waitahanui from a point four chains north of the bridge over the Waitahanui Stream to a point 40 chains north of the said bridge and from a point 24 chains south of the bridge over the Waitahanui Stream to a point 40 chains south of the said bridge.

Time and Place of Election by Fire Insurance Companies to Fill an Extraordinary Vacancy on the Fire Committee for the Marton Urban Fire District

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Wednesday, 30 July 1958, as the time, and the offices of the Council of Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, 97 The Terrace, Wellington, as the place for the holding of a meeting of representatives of the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to elect a member to the fire committee for the Marton Urban Fire District.

Classification of Roads—Tauranga Borough

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (2) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves the Tauranga Borough Council’s proposed classification of roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in Tauranga Borough.


SCHEDULE

ROADS CLASSIFIED IN CLASS II

Cameron Road: From its junction with Brown Street to the south-western boundary of Tauranga Borough.

Brown Street: From its junction with Cliff Road to its junction with Cameron Road.

Cliff Road: From its junction with Brown Street to its junction with Mirrielees Road.

Dive Crescent: From its junction with Mirrielees Road to its junction with The Strand.

Waihi Road: From its junction with Cameron Road to the western boundary of Tauranga Borough.

Eleventh Avenue: From its junction with Cameron Road to its junction with Fraser Street.

Turret Road: From its junction with Fifteenth Avenue to the southern boundary of Tauranga Borough.

The Waihi Milk Delivery Scheme 1958

PURSUANT to the Milk Regulations 1956,* the New Zealand Milk Board hereby gives notice as follows:

(1) This scheme may be cited as the Waihi Milk Delivery Scheme 1958.

(2) The district comprising the Borough of Waihi and those portions of the Ohinemuri and Tauranga Counties (including the County Town of Waihi Beach) delineated on the plan deposited for the purpose in the District Office of the New Zealand Milk Board, British Traders Insurance Building, Garden Place, Hamilton, under the number NZMB 87/1 is hereby declare a zoning area.

(3) No person shall deliver milk in the zoning area defined in clause 2 hereof in pursuance of a contract of sale except pursuant to a licence or other permit given by the New Zealand Milk Board.

(4) All deliveries of milk to schools and to Government Institutions including any institution under the control of any Hospital Board or a separate institution within the meaning of the Hospital Act 1926 shall be exempt from this order.

(5) This scheme shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1958.
