In the Proclamation dated the 6th day of March 1958 and published in Gazette, 13 March 1958, No. 17, page 320, taking additional land for broadcasting purposes (studio) in the City of New Plymouth, for the words “is hereby given” substitute “is hereby taken”.

In the approval published in Gazette, 12 June 1958, No. 36, page 775, under the heading “Approval for Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956”, for the word “GUARD” in the Schedule read “GUIDE”.

Declaring Lands in North Auckland and Canterbury Land Districts Vested in the Auckland and Canterbury Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may, from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which, in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board, as sites for public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALLOTMENTS 167, 168, 183, and 184, Village of Howick, situated in Block III, Otahuhu Survey District: Area, 4 acres, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 580, folio 300 limited as to parcels and title. (S.O. Plan 688.)

Crown Land Set Apart for State Housing Purposes in the City of Auckland

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for State housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 7th day of July 1958.

SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land in the North Auckland Land District containing 2 roods 5·6 perches, situated in Block IX, Rangitoto Survey District, City of Auckland, Auckland R.D., and being Section 732, Town of Orakei; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 39795 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of June 1958.
