NELSON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson City Council proposes,
under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute
a certain public work, namely, the acquisition of land for
street purposes; and for such purposes the lands described in
the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is
hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
to the said Council situate in Trafalgar Street and is open for
inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office
hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any well
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections
in writing and send same within forty days from the first
publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Trafalgar Street.
SCHEDULE
AREA of parcel of land required to be taken: 3 roods 28·4
perches, being portion of Sections 670, 674, and 676; coloured
blue.
Also 27·4 perches, being portion of Section 677; coloured
yellow.
Both situated in the City of Nelson.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amend-
ments, and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations
Act 1954, and in the matter of the Lower Hutt Borough
Empowering Act 1927.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council
proposes, by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all
other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling to execute a
public work, to wit, the realignment of the boundaries of
Gracefield Road in the City of Lower Hutt, and for the
purposes of such public work, the Council requires to take
the land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto
for street.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said
pieces of land so required to be taken is deposited at the
offices of the Council, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there
open for inspection during ordinary office hours.
And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected
by the execution of the said public work or by the taking
of the said pieces of land should, if they have any well
grounded objection to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said pieces of land, set forth the same
in writing and send such writing within forty days from the
first publication of this notice to the Lower Hutt City Council
at its offices situate as aforesaid.

Hutt District, and part of the land contained in certificate of
title, Volume 122, folio 25, Wellington Registry, shown
coloured orange on Survey Office Plan No. 21118.
(2) 2·73 perches, more or less, being part of Section 240,
Hutt District, and part of the land contained in certificate of
title, Volume 122, folio 25, Wellington Registry, shown
coloured orange on Survey Office Plan No. 21118.
(3) 5·90 perches, more or less, being part of Section 240,
Hutt District, and part of the land contained in certificate of
title, Volume 122, folio 25, Wellington Registry, shown
coloured orange on Survey Office Plan No. 21118.
(4) 0·2 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 2 on
Survey Office Plan 18305, part Section 14, Hutt District, and
part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 365,
folio 10, Wellington Registry, shown coloured blue on Survey
Office Plan No. 21118.
All the above pieces of land being situate in Block XIV
of the Belmont Survey District.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the
day preceding publication.
Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per
calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every
subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for
the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing),
subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and
1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating
the purchase of extra copies.
Orders should be placed with the Government Printer,
Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of
regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and
Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or
from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS
The following publications are obtainable from the Govern-
ment Printer, at Wellington and Christchurch or through
the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
Free Postage: All publications sold by the Department are
now post free—except that when trade discount is allowed,
postage or freight is payable by the purchaser.
All references to postage in previous lists, catalogues, etc.,
should be amended accordingly.
