BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF HAWKE'S BAY

All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District bounded by
a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Ngaruroro
River at the intersection with a right line between Trig.
Stations 26 (Tauwhaketewhango) and 65A and proceeding
easterly along that right line to the said Trig. Station 65A
in Block XXI, Kaweka Survey District; thence north-easterly
along a right line to Trig. Station 68A and its production to
the middle of the Mohaka River; thence down the middle
of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary
of Section 6, Block V, Waitara Survey District; thence south-
easterly to and along that boundary and the north-eastern
boundary of Section 3, Block XI, Waitara Survey District to
the middle if the Waikari River; thence down the middle of
that River to the sea coast; thence generally southerly along
the sea coast to a point in line with the northern boundary
of Lot 2, D.P. 3216, in Block III, Waimarama Survey Dis-
trict; thence generally westerly to and along that boundary
and the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3215 to its north-
westerly corner; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries
of Sections 6, 5, and 4, Block III, Oero Survey District to
the northern boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence
westerly along that boundary and its production to the
middle of the Hawea Stream; thence down the middle of that
stream to and up the middle of the Tukituki River, to and
up the middle of the Papanui Stream to the middle of Wai-
tukai Road; thence generally north-westerly along the middle
of that road and the middle of Papanui -Te Aute Road and
Boundary Road to the middle of the Napier-Palmerston
North State Highway No. 30; thence south-westerly along the
middle of that highway to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 5103; thence north-westerly
to and along that boundary, the north-eastern boundaries of
Lot 29, D.P. 4416, Section 1, Block XV, and Section 1, Block
XIV, both Maraekakaho Survey District (including the cross-
ing of Te Onepu Road) to the northernmost corner of the
last-mentioned section; thence again north-westerly along a
right line to the middle of the Mangaonuku Stream in line
with the north-western boundary of Section 1, Block X, Marae-
kakaho Survey District; thence north-westerly up the middle
of that stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boun-
dary of Block 3, Gwawas Crown District, in Block IV, Waka-
rara Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that
boundary and south-westerly along the north-western boun-
daries of that block, Blocks 1 and 5, and again Block 1, all
Gwawas Crown Grant District, and the production of the last-
mentioned boundary to the middle of the Mangamauku
Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to its inter-
section with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block
XI, Wakarara Survey District; thence north-westerly along
that boundary to the northernmost point of the said Section
1; thence again north-westerly along a right line to the
confluence of the Makaroro River and Makaroro Stream (east
of Section 8, Block IX, Wakarara Survey District); thence
again north-westerly along a right line in the direction of
Trig. Station 30 (Aorangi) to the summit of the Ruahine
Range; thence northerly along the summit of that Range
to Trig. Station Y on the western boundary of Block XVIII,
Ngaruroro Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right
line to a point in the middle of the Taruarau River in Block
II, Ngaruroro Survey District in line with the south-western
boundary of Block 78, Maraekakaho Crown Grant District;
then down the middle of that river to and up the middle
of the Ngaruroro River to the point of commencement,
excluding therefrom the Cities of Hastings as described in
Gazette 1957, page 847, and Napier hereinbefore described,
and the Boroughs of Havelock North as described in Gazette,
1952, page 948, and Taradale as described in Gazette, 1955,
page 715.

BOUNDARIES OF MEEANEE RIDING

All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Hawke's
Bay County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the
sea coast due east of the middle of the Tutaekuri River at
the road bridge near its mouth in Block I, Clive Survey Dis-
trict and proceeding westerly to and up the middle of that
river to the middle of a public road forming the south-
western boundary of Lot 2, Deeds Plan 963; thence south-
easterly and south-westerly along the middle of that road to
its junction with the middle of Brookfields Road and south-
westerly along the middle of that road and its production to
the south-western side of the Waiohiki-Pakowhai Main High-
way No. 495; thence north-westerly along that roadside to the
north-western boundary of Section 1, Block XII, Heretaunga
Survey District; thence south-westerly along that boundary to
the left bank of the Tutaekuriwaimate Stream; thence due south
along a right line to the middle of that stream; thence gener-
ally southerly down the middle of that stream to a point
in line with the northern boundary of the land taken for
riverworks as shown on plan S.O. 1162 green; thence easterly
along that boundary and its production to the middle of the
Waiohiki-Pakowhai Main Highway No. 495; thence south-
easterly along the middle of that highway to the middle of
the Farndon-Pakipaki Main Highway No. 567; thence south-
westerly along the middle of that highway to the middle of
the Ngaruroro River; thence westerly up the middle of that
river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of
Lot 1, D.P. 6071; thence easterly to and along that boundary
to the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 2459; thence north-
easterly along the south-eastern boundary and north-westerly
along the north-eastern boundary of that lot and its produc-
tion to the middle of the Napier-Hastings via Fernhill Main
Highway No. 845; thence north-easterly along the middle
of that highway to the right bank of the Tutaekuri River;

Redclyffe Bridge; thence northerly along that side of that
bridge to the left bank of the said river, thence north-

of a public road forming the southern boundary of Lot 1,

middle of that road to a point in line with the western boun-

along the middle of that road to a point in line with the
southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6502; thence generally wes-
terly to and along that boundary and the southern boundary
of Lot 10, Deeds Plan 194, to the eastern boundary of Lot
9, Deeds Plan 194; thence northerly along the eastern boundary
of that lot and its production to the middle of the Napier
Park-Rissington Main Highway No. 846; thence generally
easterly along the middle of that highway to and along the
middle of Oak Road to and along the middle of Lawn Ceme-
tery Road to the middle of Park Island Road; thence southerly
along the middle of that road to a point in line with the
middle of a private road shown on S.O. Plan 2252; thence
easterly to and along the middle of that roadway approxi-
mately 40 chains, northerly approximately 18 chains, north-
easterly approximately 55 chains and again northerly approxi-
mately 73 chains along the middle of private roads shown on
S.O. Plan 2252, and the production of the last-mentioned
middle line to a point in the middle of the stopbank at the
northern side of the Ahuriri Lagoon main outfall channel;
thence easterly along the middle line of that stopbank and
its production to the eastern side of the Gisborne-Napier via
Hangaroa State Highway No. 25; thence southerly and easterly
along the eastern and northern sides of that highway and the
production of the last-mentioned side to the south-eastern side
of the said highway, being also a point on the boundary of
the City of Napier, hereinbefore described; thence generally
westerly, southerly, easterly, and northerly along that boun-
dary to the northern side of Ellison Street; thence easterly
along that roadside and its production to the sea coast;
thence southerly along the sea coast to the point of com-
mencement.
