PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Murdoch Drake, of Hunter Valley, farmer, under and by virtue of pastoral lease of pastoral land recorded in register book, Volume 338, folio 55, Otago Land Registry, is hereby taken for the development of water power (Roxburgh Power Scheme—Lake Hawea Control).

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for buildings of the General Government, is hereby set apart for State housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 16th day of June 1958.
