said Kaikohe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of five-sixteenth pence (5/16d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kaikohe Borough District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of December and the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Kaikohe Borough Council on the 19th day of May 1958.

MASTER TON COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the No. 1 Section of the Masterton County Council District Scheme was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 13th day of May 1958, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all variations of the scheme required by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board had been incorporated.
The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 2nd day of June 1958.
Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Masterton County Council Chambers, Chapel Street, Masterton, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when the office is open to the public.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
THE Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waipara hereby give notice of their intention to acquire the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a public road, pursuant to the powers contained in sections 22 and 23 of the Public Works Act 1928.
Any person affected by such taking and having any well founded objection to such taking should forward such objections in writing to the office of the Waipara County Council, Waikari, within forty days hereof.
A plan showing the piece of land to be taken may be inspected at the office of the Waipara County Council, Waikari.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block VII of the Waipara Survey District containing 1 rood, part of Rural Section 7540, and being all the land included in certificate of title, Volume 117, folio 61 (Canterbury Registry), having a frontage onto High Street, Hawarden.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to discharge an Adoption Order made on the 24th day of March 1953, in favour of David Melville Thomson and Marjorie Standidge Thomson as adopting parents of Peter Thomson”.
NOTICE is hereby given that David Melville Thomson, of Okoia near Wanganui, farmer, Marjorie Standidge Thomson, of the same place, his wife, and Peter Thomson, of Okoia aforesaid, farmer, intend to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives at the ensuing session a Private Bill intituled as above.
The objects of the said Bill are to effect a legal discharge of an Adoption Order made by the Magistrate’s Court, Rotorua, on the 24th day of March 1953, whereby the said Peter Thomson was adopted by the said David Melville Thomson and Marjorie Standidge Thomson.
The promoters of the Bill are the said David Melville Thomson, Marjorie Standidge Thomson, and Peter Thomson, whose address is care Messieurs Treadwell, Gordon, Clayton and Swan, Solicitors, 81 Ridgway Street, Wanganui, to which address all communications and notices may be sent and at which address a copy of the Bill may be inspected.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
