Company Petition and Special Rates




COLETTE GOWNS LTD.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of Colette Gowns Ltd., a duly incorporated company
having its registered office at Boulcott Chambers, Boulcott
Street, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of
the above-named company by the Supreme Court was; on the
19th day of May 1958, presented to the said Court by Augustus
James West-Walker and Eileen Patricia West-Walker, practi-
sing as West-Walker and West-Walker, barrister and
solicitors, Empire Building, 15 Willis Street, Wellington, and
that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court
sitting at Wellington on the 4th day of June 1958 at 10
o'clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of
the said company desirous to support or oppose the making
of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of
hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a
copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to
any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring
a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTE—Any person who intends to appear on the hearing of
the said petition must serve on or send by post to the above-
named notice in writing of his intention so to do. The notice
must state the name, address, and description of the person,
or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm,
and an address for service within three miles of the office of
the Supreme Court at Wellington, and must be signed by the
person or firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be
served or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to
reach the above-named petitioner's address for service not
later than 4 o'clock on the afternoon on the 3rd day of June
1958.
RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the
Rural Housing Act 1939, the Rodney County Council hereby
resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the
Rodney County Council under the above-mentioned Acts, such
loan to be known as the Rodney County Rural Housing Loan
No. 3, 1957 of £10,000, the said Rodney County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of decimal 105039 pence in the
pound upon all the rateable value, being the unimproved value,
of all rateable property in the County of Rodney, and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, payable yearly on the 1st day of August
in each and every year during the currency of such loan or
until the loan is fully paid off. It is not proposed to collect the
special rate but to meet the annual charges on the loan from
the repayments of interest and principal made by persons to
whom advances are made by the Council, pursuant to the
Rural Housing Act 1939."
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Rodney County Council held on the 15th day of May 1958.

HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of two hundred and forty-seven thousand five hundred
pounds (£247,500) authorised to be raised by the Hawke's
Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of carrying out further reticulation in its district
(excluding the Borough of Napier as constituted on the 6th
day of July 1925), the said Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board
hereby makes a special rate of one-tenth of a penny (1/10d.)
in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property within the constituent
districts of the County of Hawke's Bay, the Boroughs of Have-
lock North and Taradale, the City of Hastings and within that
portion of the City of Napier as at present constituted which
on the 6th day of July 1925, was included in the County of
Hawke's Bay; and that the special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of twelve (12) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Drainage Loan 1958, £10,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorised
to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the lining
of the Waddington Canal, the said Lower Hutt City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and
ten thousandths of a penny (0·110d.) in the pound (£) on
the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all
rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the
1st day of August in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan
is paid off."
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 28th
day of April 1958.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Housing Loan 1958, £30,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000)
authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting or
purchasing staff dwellings, the said Lower Hutt City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of three hundred and
twenty-nine thousandths of a penny (0·329d.) in the pound
(£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value)
of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that
such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about
the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or
until the loan is paid off."
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 28th
day of April 1958.

HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hastings City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £477,000 authorised to be raised by the Hastings
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for Frimley area
development and sewer and stormwater drainage, the said
Hastings City Council hereby makes a special rate of one-
decimal seven nine pence (1·79d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the City of
Hastings, comprising the whole of the City of Hastings; and
that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of August in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Street Improvement Supplementary Loan 1958 of £2,800
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Kaikohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of two thousand eight hundred pounds (£2,800) authorised
to be raised by the Kaikohe Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for
which the Streets Improvement Loan 1954 was authorised, the
