Pursuant to section 2 of the Judicature Amendment Act 1930, the Right Honourable the Chief Justice has appointed:

Pursuant to section 9 of the Mining Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Nowell Montgomery Izard, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate, to be a Warden on and from the 26th day of May 1958, to hold and exercise the duties of such office under and subject to the provisions of the said Act during pleasure.

Proclaiming Parts of a Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

Pursuant to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby declares the parts of the tribal district described in the Schedule hereto to be tribal committee areas for the purpose of the said Act, and hereby assigns to each of the several areas the name appearing at the head of the description of each such area.

SCHEDULE

Tokoroa Tribal District

Whakaaratamaiti Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waikato River on the production of a right line between Trig. Station 816 (Whakaaratamaiti) in Block VII, Patetere North Survey District and the south-western corner of Section 47, Block IV, Maungatautari Survey District; thence proceeding south-easterly to and along the said right line to Trig. Station 816 aforesaid and along a right line in the direction of the south-western corner of Section 4, Block IX, Rotorua Survey District, to the western boundary of Patetere North-east Survey District; thence southerly along that boundary to the middle of the Waihou Stream; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 825 (Kokako) in Block XV, Patetere North Survey District; thence westerly along a right line passing through Trig. Station 901 in Block IX, Patetere North Survey District, to the middle of the Waikato River; thence down the middle of that river to the point of commencement.
