Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Akitio Rabbit District Order 1958.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
  2. The boundaries of the Akitio Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 27th day of October 1948,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE AKITIO RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, comprising the County of Akitio, as described in Gazette, 1957, at page 1809, excepting therefrom Lot 1, D.P. 2119, being Sections 168, 169, 170, and parts Sections 167 and 175, Akitio District, situated in Block IV, Waimata Survey District.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Eyre Creek Rabbit District Order 1958.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
  2. The boundaries of the Eyre Creek Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 29th day of June 1955,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE EYRE CREEK RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, inclusive of roads, railways, and streams, containing 113,500 acres, more or less, and bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the north-eastern boundary of Lot. 13, D.P. 1666 with the western side Queenstown-Invercargill State Highway No. 65 and proceeding north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 13 and Lot 4, D.P. 3996, to the left bank of the Irthing Stream; thence northerly generally along the left bank of the Irthing Stream to its source; thence north-easterly along a right line to the south-western boundary of Run 352B; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of the said Run 352B and Run 547 to the south-eastern boundary of Lincoln Survey District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Lincoln Survey District and Blackhill Survey District to the summit of Eyre Peak; thence south-westerly along a right line to the source of the Mataura River; thence south-easterly generally along the right bank of the Mataura River to the north-eastern corner of Run 394A; thence westerly generally along the northern boundaries of Runs 394A and 191B and the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 42, Block XXXIX, Eyre Survey District and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the western side of the Queenstown-Invercargill State Highway No. 65; thence south-westerly along the western side of that highway to the point of commencement.

Defining Limits and Fixing Name of the Harbour of Taranaki

COBHAM, Governor-General
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby define the limits of the harbour of Taranaki to be that area described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby fix the name of such harbour as Port Taranaki, and hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 27th day of January 1955 and published in the Gazette, 3 February 1955, page 110, defining the limits of the port or harbour of Taranaki.

SCHEDULE
ALL the sea and tidal waters of New Zealand to seaward of high-water mark of the mainland contained within the arc of a circle having a radius of two and a half nautic miles, the centre of which circle is Trigonometrical Station XXVII, Moturoa, Paritutu Survey District (the mainland high-water mark being considered as crossing the mouths of intervening streams in straight lines from high-water mark to high-water mark); as the same limits are delineated on plan marked M.D. 1660 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.
