at Wellington, and thereon outlined in red.

Declaring an Area in the Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation
District to be a Wildlife Refuge
COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles
John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in
the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge in the Hawke's
Bay Acclimatisation District for the purposes of the Wildlife
Act 1953.
SCHEDULE
ALL those areas in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Hawke's
Bay County, situated in Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District,
being all that part of the tidal estuary below high-water mark
between the footbridge to the east and the embankment road
and rail bridge to the west, excluding all islands, being part.
of the Ahuriri Lagoon; also the outfall channel east of the
causeway and bridge at the pumping stations, being part of
Lot 1, D.P. 6211; also an area of casual water in the north-
west corner of floodgate paddock as shown on Survey Office
Plan 2252, being part of Lot 1, D.P. 6211; also an area of
casual water and surrounding land being part of Section 17
on Survey Office Plan 2652, bounded to the north, south, and
west by the boundaries of the said Section 17, and to the east
by the boundary between Section 17 and the motor camp on
D.P. 6408 and by a line parallel to and 5 chains distant from
the aforementioned casual water.
As the same is more particularly shown on a plan marked
I.A. 52/407 deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 8th day of May 1958.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to
Dorothy Sydney McAuliffe; of Tutaki, Murchison, widow,
of the rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in
Council, dated the 20th day of October 1948, and published in
the Gazette on the 28th day of the same month at page 1318,
authorising James Florence McAuliffe, of Murchison, farmer,
to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to
erect and use electric lines.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 13th day of
May 1958

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby further amends, by revoking
clause 11 of the Schedule thereto, the Order in Council
dated the 23rd day of February 1925 and published in the
Gazette on the 26th day of the same month, authorising the
Westport Borough Council to use water for the purpose of
generating electricity and to erect and use electric lines, as
amended by the Buller Electric Power Board Electric Lines
Licence 1954, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said
Order in Council having been assigned to the Buller Electric
Power Board.
