WHANGAROA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ROADING IN THE COUNTY OF WHANGAROA
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, pursuant to the
Public Works Act 1928, to take the lands described in the
Schedule hereto for the purpose of a road. Notice is hereby
further given that the plans of the lands are deposited at the
office of the Whangaroa County Council at Kaeo, and are there
open for inspection, without fee, during office hours, and
that all persons affected by the taking of such lands should,
if they have any well grounded objections to such action; set
forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty
days of the first publication of this notice to the Whangaroa
County Council at Kaeo.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
PUBLIC NOTICE
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to take the portions of land described in the First Schedule
hereto for road and to stop the portions of road described in
the Second Schedule hereto. A plan of the portions of land
proposed to be taken for road and of the portions of road
proposed to be stopped lies open for public inspection at the
office of the Raglan County Council, Waingaro Road,
Ngaruawahia, during forty (40) days from the date of the
first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the
proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office
of the Council on or before the 18th day of June 1958.

BAY OF ISLANDS HARBOUR BOARD
SECURITY RESOLUTION
Bay of Islands Harbour Board Loan 1956, £40,000—
Portion £7,800
Moved by Mr Riddell, seconded by Mr Miller:
“'That the Bay of Islands Harbour Board (hereinafter
called ‘the Board’), in pursuance and exercise of the
powers conferred by the Harbours Act 1950, the Bay of
Islands Harbour Board Empowering Act 1956, the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, and a certain Order in Council
dated the 17th day of December 1956, a Notification of
Sanction dated the 7th day of November 1956, and a Notifi-
cation of Variation dated the 22nd day of November 1957,
and all other powers and authorities it enabling, hereby
resolves as follows:
- That the Board proceed to raise a loan of £7,800 to be
known as Bay of Islands Harbour Board Loan 1956,
£40,000—Portion of £7,800 (hereinafter called ‘the
said loan’) for the purpose of completing the works
specified in the Bay of Islands Harbour Board
Empowering Act 1952. - That the term of the said loan be 25 years commencing
on the 1st day of May 1958. - That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said
loan be five per centum per annum. - That the said loan be raised on terms of making the
same together with interest thereon at the rate afore-
said repayable by fifty half-yearly instalments of
£275 0s. 3d. each on the 1st day of May and the
1st day of November in each year for a period of
25 years, the first of such instalments being payable
on the 1st day of November 1958. - That the said loan be raised by the issuing of one
debenture on form 3 as set out in the First Schedule
to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956. - That the security for the payment of the said debenture
be in addition to the charge upon all moneys in
the Harbour Fund, a special annual-recurring rate
upon all rateable property in the Bay of Islands
Harbour District, the product of which shall not
exceed the product of:
A rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound upon
the unimproved value as at the 31st of March 1952,
of all rateable property in the County of Mangonui
and the Borough of Kaitaia;
A rate of five-sixteenths of a penny in the pound
upon the unimproved value as at the 31st of March
1952, of all rateable property in the Counties of
Hokianga and Whangaroa;
A rate of thirteen thirty-seconds of a penny in
the pound upon the unimproved value as at the
31st day of March 1952, of all rateable property in
the County of Bay of Islands, the Borough of
Kaikohe and the Town district of Kawakawa; made
and levied by a resolution of the said Board passed
on the 9th day of April 1958, which said rate and
Harbour Fund is hereby permanently appropriated
and pledged as security for repayment of the said
loan and interest thereon. - That the Common Seal of the Board be affixed to the
said debenture in the presence of the chairman and
the secretary, who are hereby authorised to sign and
countersign the same. - That a copy of this resolution and all other resolutions
and documents relating to or relevant to the raising
of the said loan, verified by the chairman and secre-
tary as correct extracts of the minutes of the Board,
may from time to time be sealed by the Common
Seal of the Board as evidence ,of the same and
issued.”
We hereby certify that the above resolution was passed
at a properly constituted meeting of the Bay of Islands Har-
bour Board, held on the 9th day of April 1958.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of
Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the
matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to discharge
an Adoption Order made on the 24th day of March
1953, in favour of David Melville Thomson and Mar-
jorie Standidige Thomson as adopting parents of Peter
Thomson”.
NOTICE is hereby given that David Melville Thomson, of
Okoia near Wanganui, farmer, Marjorie Standidige Thomson,
of the same place, his wife, and Peter Thomson, of Okoia
aforesaid, farmer, intend to apply for leave to bring into
the House of Representatives at the ensuing session a Private
Bill intituled as above.
The objects of the said Bill are to effect a legal discharge
of an Adoption Order made by the Magistrate’s Court, Roto-
rua, on the 24th day of March 1953, whereby the said Peter
Thomson was adopted by the said David Melville Thomson
and Marjorie Standidige Thomson.
The promoters of the Bill are the said David Melville
Thomson, Marjorie Standidige Thomson, and Peter Thomson,
whose address is care Messieurs Treadwell, Gordon, Clayton
and Swan, Solicitors, 81 Ridgway Street, Wanganui, to
which address all communications and notices may be sent
and at which address a copy of the Bill may be inspected.
