Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Te Kaha Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of
the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to
the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated
2 December 1931 and published in the Gazette, 17 December
1931, Volume III, page 3507.

Special Order Made by the Rangiora County Council
Declaring That Section 107 of the Counties Act 1956 Shall
Not Apply to That County

———

PURSUANT to section 109 of the Counties Act 1956, the
Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following
special order made by the Rangiora County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

WHEREAS under and by virtue of section 107 of the Counties
Act 1956, it is provided that the Council shall make and
levy the general rate separately in each riding of the county,
and whereas section 109 of the Counties Act 1956 provides
that the council of any county may by special order declare
that the said section 107 as aforesaid, shall cease to apply
to the county, and whereas the Rangiora County Council is
desirous of adopting the provisions of the said section 109.

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the pro-
visions of section 109 of the Counties Act 1956 as aforesaid,
the Rangiora County Council doth hereby resolve and
declare that section 107 of the Counties Act 1956 shall cease
to apply to that county.

We hereby certify that the above special order, passed at a
special meeting of the Council held on Friday, the 8th day
of November 1957, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting
held on Friday, the 13th day of December 1957, of which
public notice was given as required by section 87 of the
Counties Act 1956, has been duly made.
