THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the Heathcote County Council stopping the portion of road
described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of road in the Canterbury Land District con-
taining 18·5 perches, situated in Block XV, Christchurch
Survey District, Canterbury R.D., and passing through part
Rural Section 383; as the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 155920 (S.O. 9082) deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured green.

Authorising the Laying Off of an Extension to Samson Road
in the Borough of Green Island, Subject to a Condition as
to the Building Line

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Green Island Borough Council to permit the laying off of
the proposed extension to Samson Road, described in the
Schedule hereto, at a width for the whole of its length of less
than 66 ft. but not less than 40 ft. subject to the condition
that no building or part of a building shall at any time
be erected on the land edged green referred to in the said
Schedule within 15 ft. from the side lines of the said exten-
sion to Samson Road.
SCHEDULE
THAT portion of proposed street in the Otago Land District,
Borough of Green Island, containing 16 perches, being part
Lot 1, D.P. 7082, being also part Section 42, Block V, Lower
Kaikorai Survey District, Otago R.D.; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155855
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Local Government Commission
Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
declares that the areas described in the Schedule hereto are
hereby excluded from the County of Waitaki and included in
the Borough of Oamaru; and with the like advice and consent
hereby also declares that the alteration of the boundaries of
the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall
be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corpora-
tions Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
AREAS EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF WAITAKI AND INCLUDED
IN BOROUGH OF OAMARU
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Waitaki County,
and Papakaio Riding containing 630 acres, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of
Lot 2, D.P. 6903, being part Section 27, Block I, Oamaru
Survey District; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern
boundary of the South Island Main Trunk Railway to the
westernmost corner of Lot 7, Deeds Plan 237; thence generally
north-westerly and south-westerly along the boundary of
Oamaru Borough as described in Gazette, 1957, pages 1528 and
1529, to a point on the south-eastern boundary of Lot 81, D.P.
402, being the intersection of that boundary with a line
parallel to and distant 250 links on the western side of the
western boundary of Reservoir Road; thence generally north-
erly along that line to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Section 54, Block I, Oamaru Survey District;
thence easterly to and along that boundary to the north-
western boundary of D.P. 3647; thence north-easterly along
that boundary to Redcastle Road; thence north-easterly across
Redcastle Road at right angles to a point distant 250 links
from its north-eastern boundary; thence south-easterly along
a line parallel to and distant 250 links from Redcastle Road
to and north-easterly along a line parallel to and distant 250
links on the north-western side of the north-western boundary
of Kenilworth Road to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of Section 28, Block I, Oamaru Survey District;
thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to and across
the Dunedin-Timaru State Highway and along the south-
western boundary of Part Section 27, Block I, Oamaru Survey
District to and across the South Island Main Trunk Railway
to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Otago Land District, Waitaki
County, and Papakaio Riding containing 26 acres, more or
less, bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost
corner of Lot 32, D.P. 402; thence south-westerly along the
south-eastern boundary of Block II, Oamaru Survey District
to a point 550 links, more or less, south-west of the eastern-
most corner of part Section 29, Block IV, Oamaru Survey
District; thence north-westerly a distance of 250 links at right
angles to the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid part
Section 29; thence north-easterly to the south-western corner
of Lot 1, D.P. 8572; thence northerly along the western
boundary of Lots 1 to 9, D.P. 8572, and the production of
that boundary to a point 250 links beyond the southern
boundary of Lot 77, D.P. 402; thence north-easterly to a point
350 links distant from the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P.
420, and on a line through that corner at right angles to the
north-western boundary of Lots 1 to 4, D.P. 420; thence
south-easterly along that line to the northernmost corner of
Lot 1, D.P. 420; thence south-easterly along the south-western
boundary of Lot 32, D.P. 402, to the point of commencement.

Governor-General hereby sets apart the unalienated Crown
land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of
Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Rangiriri Survey
District, containing 39 acres 3 roods 11·2 perches, more or
less, being the residue of Allotment 47 of the Parish of Pepepe
and being the residue of the land in certificate of title, Volume
20, folio 217 (South Auckland Registry).
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 29th day of April 1958.
