Notice Calling Final Meeting

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 281 of the Companies Act 1955, that a general meeting of the above company will be held at the offices of Patrick, Feist, Jack, and Middlebrook, on Monday, 19 May 1958, at 12 o’clock noon for the purpose of having an account laid before it showing how the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of, and to receive any explanation thereof by the liquidator, and to determine how the books and papers of the company shall be disposed of.

“That the company be wound up voluntarily and that Francis James Wallace, of Te Kuiti, be and is hereby appointed liquidator.”

THE RATING ACT 1925

PURSUANT to the direction of William J. Shaw, Mayor of the Borough of Arrowtown, in accordance with the provisions of section 42 of the above-mentioned Act, notice is hereby given that the votes recorded in the poll held on the 9th day of April 1958 for and against the proposal that the Borough of Arrowtown adopt the system of rating on the basis of the unimproved value were:

For the proposal .... .... .... 35 votes.
Against the proposal .... .... .... 24 votes.

I the said William James Shaw declare the proposal that the Borough of Arrowtown adopt the system of rating on the basis of the unimproved value to be carried.

PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Pukekohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out stormwater drainage works, the said Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of twenty-two one-hundredths of a penny (0·22d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Pukekohe comprising the whole of the Borough of Pukekohe; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

INGLEWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Water Supply Loan 1957

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Inglewood Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Water Supply Loan 1957, £65,000, authorised to be raised by the Inglewood Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of providing a new water supply for the Borough, the said Inglewood Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of seven and thirteen sixteenths pence (7¹³⁄₁₆d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Inglewood, such said special rate to be an annual-recurring rate, payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD AND TO CLOSE PORTIONS OF ROAD
——
In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Rotorua County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the deviation of a public road known as the Rotorua-Atiamuri Main Highway in the County of Rotorua and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and portions of the road being the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are required to be closed, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and the portions of the said road so to be closed is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the above Council and situated in Ranolf Street, Rotorua, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, by the taking of such lands, or by the closing of the said portions of the said road who have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of such lands, or to the closing of the said portions of the said road must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Ranolf Street, Rotorua.

Dated this 17th day of April 1958.
