Limited Speed Zone Declared and Excluding Roads from Speed Limitation

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. The portions of road specified in the First Schedule to this notice are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

2. The portion of road specified in the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Balclutha Borough—

That portion of the Dunedin-Gore State Highway No. 61 from a point 1 chain south-west of its junction with Michie Street to the south-western boundary of Balclutha Borough, and that portion of the Dunedin-Gore State Highway No. 61 from the eastern boundary of Balclutha Borough to a point 16 chains west of the said boundary.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Balclutha Borough—

That portion of the Dunedin-Gore State Highway No. 61 from the eastern boundary of Balclutha Borough to a point 16 chains west of the said boundary.

1. So much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 21st day of December 1936,* as relates to part of Paeroa-Whakatane State Highway No. 16 referred to in the said Warrant as the Pokeno-Waihi Main Highway No. 15 in Waihi Borough is hereby revoked.

2. The portions of road specified in the First Schedule to this notice are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

3. The portion of road specified in the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.
