Closely Populated Locality Declared
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

That Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 10th day of November 1949* which relates to an area at Katikati in Tauranga County is hereby revoked.

The roads and portions of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

That portion of the Paeroa-Whakatane State Highway No. 16 at Katikati from a point 36 chains north-west of the Government railway crossing to a point 36 chains south of the said railway crossing.

That portion of Park Road at Katikati from its junction with Beach Road to a point 7 chains north of its junction with Binnies Road.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Open Seasons for Game in Acclimatisation Districts
IMPORTANT—The closed game areas and special conditions published in the Supplement dated 28 February 1955 to the Gazette of 24 February 1955, apply, subject to amendments thereto and deletions therefrom published in Gazettes of 28 March 1956 and 4 April 1957, and in this notice, to the 1958 open season for game. Also applicable to the 1958 open season for game are the additional closed game areas and special conditions published in the aforementioned Gazettes of 28 March 1956 and 4 April 1957 and in this notice.
PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs declares an open season for game of the kinds specified in this notice in relation to each acclimatisation district during the periods and subject to the bag limits set forth in relation to each acclimatisation district and subject to the special conditions and closed game areas specified in relation to certain acclimatisation districts as published in the Supplement dated 28 February 1955 to the Gazette of 24 February 1955, Gazettes of 28 March 1956, and 4 April 1957, and this notice. The attention of all sportsmen and others is drawn to the provisions of the said Act as set forth in the Third Schedule published in the aforementioned Supplement to Gazette of 24 February 1955.
