Directing the Revision of District Valuation Rolls

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the District Valuation Rolls for the counties enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at 31 March 1958.

PURSUANT to the discretion conferred upon him by subsection (2) of section 9, Valuation of Land Act 1951, the Valuer-General intends to exercise the authority conferred by the foregoing Order in Council so far as it relates to those districts named in the first column of the Schedule hereto, by revising only those properties on the district valuation rolls which lie within the portions described in the second column of the said Schedule.

Waitaki County That portion of approximately 636 acres which in terms of a Final Scheme of the Local Government Commission promulgated on 14 February 1958, is to be included in the Borough of Oamaru. Waitomo County That portion of approximately 2,370 acres known as the Waimiha area described in Gazette, 27 March 1958, No. 20, page 380, which is to be included in the County of Taumarunui as on and from 1 April 1958.
