PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 6th day of February 1958, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Palmerston North City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Palmerston North, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the north-western side of Main Street fronting a subdivision, of Urban Section 33 of the Township of Palmerston North, comprised in certificates of title, 41/272, 41/267, and 41/143.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE north-western side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Palmerston North, known as Main Street, fronting Urban Section 33, Township of Palmerston North; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155650 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Boundaries of County of Hawke’s Bay and City of Napier Altered

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that as on and from the 1st day of April 1958 the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Hawke’s Bay and included in the City of Napier; and with the like advice and consent hereby also declares that the alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said city hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF HAWKE’S BAY AND INCLUDED IN CITY OF NAPIER
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing approximately 284 acres, situated in Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District, and bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Meeanee Drain on the north-western side of a proposed road through Lot 23 on Deeds Plan numbered 133 lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier and shown on plan numbered S.O. 2582 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier, being also a point on the boundary of the City of Napier as described in the Gazette of 26 November 1953, at page 1918; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that proposed road and its production to the north-western side of the Napier-Hastings via Fernhill Main Highway; thence again south-westerly along that roadside to the middle of a drain shown on the plan numbered S.O. 2252 lodged as aforesaid and adjacent to the south-western boundaries of Lots 2 and 5 on the plan numbered 6562 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence north-westerly along the middle of that drain to the south-eastern side of a private road shown on the aforementioned plan numbered S.O. 2252; thence north-easterly along that roadside to the middle of the Meeanee Drain; thence north-westerly along the middle of that drain to the right bank of the main gravity drain also shown on the aforementioned plan numbered S.O. 2252; thence north-easterly along that bank to the left bank of the old Tutaekuri River Bed; thence up that bank to the north-western corner of Lot 4 on the plan numbered 6170 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly generally along the north-western boundaries of Lots 4, 3, 2, and 1 on the said plan numbered 6170 including the crossing of a public road passing through the said Lot 3 to the north-western side of the Napier-Hastings via Fernhill Main Highway; thence south-easterly along a right line at right angles to that side to the south-eastern side of the said highway being also a point on the boundary of the City of Napier described as aforesaid; thence south-westerly generally along that boundary to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that as on and from the 1st day of April 1958 the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Waitomo and included in the County of Taumarunui; and with the like advice and consent hereby also declares that the alteration of boundaries of the said counties hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act 1956.
SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF WAITOMO AND INCLUDED IN COUNTY OF TAUMARUNUI
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District containing 2,370 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 18, Block II, Tangitu Survey District, on the southern boundary of the said Block II, being a point on the boundary of the Taumarunui County as described in Gazette of 13 June 1957, at page 1169; thence generally easterly by the southern boundaries of the said Block II and Block III, Tangitu Survey District to the middle of the Ongarue River; thence northerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua 77B 1B 2C 2A; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to the middle of the North Island Main Trunk Railway; thence northerly along the middle of that railway to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7475, in Block XIII, Mapara Survey District; thence westerly to and along that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua 77B 2B 2; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Rangitoto-Tuhua 77B 2B 2 and south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 77B 2B 1 and again south-westerly by the south-eastern boundary of Part Rangitoto-Tuhua 77B 2A to and southerly along the eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua 77B 1B 1 to the northern side of Takiri Road; thence generally westerly along the northern side of that road to the eastern side of a public road intersecting part Section 2, Block III, Tangitu Survey District; thence southerly across Takiri Road to and westerly along its southern side, across Paraketu Road to the north-eastern corner of Section 18, Block II, Tangitu Survey District; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that section to its south-eastern corner being the point of commencement.
