REDUCTION OF CAPITAL

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of John Howie Ltd., a duly incorporated company having
its registered office at Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court
of New Zealand dated the 17th day of December 1957 confirming
the reduction of capital of the above-named company
from £4,500 to £1,000 and the minute approved by the Court
showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered
the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act
was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 18th
day of December 1957. The said minute is in the words and
figures following:

“The capital of John Howie Ltd. henceforth is £1,000
divided into 1,000 shares of £1 each ranking pari passu at
the date of registration of this minute. The full sum of £1
per share has been and is deemed to be paid on the aforesaid
1,000 shares.”

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE

NOTICE is hereby given that Ormond Lester McKellar, of
Alexandra, farmer, has applied to the Warden of the Otago
Mining District, at Cromwell, for a licence for twenty-one
years for a water race commencing in the Clutha River two
and a half miles west of its junction with the Manuherikia
River, running in a north-easterly direction a distance of
750 feet, and terminating on Section 19, Block VI, Leaning
Rock District, occupied by the applicant, with right to
divert quarter head by means of a pipe for domestic irrigation
and stock watering purposes.

The application and all objections will be heard at the
Wardens' Court, Cromwell, on Wednesday, 12 February
1958, at 10 a.m. Objections must be filed in the Registrar's
office and notified to applicant at the address below at least
three days before the time appointed for hearing.

resolved to prepare for the Shannon Borough a district

Country Planning Act 1953.

hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its
opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the
