Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Excluding Roads from Speed Limitation and Revoking an Exclusion from Speed Limitation
PURSUANT to section 36 (2) of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

The Warrant under Section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 11th day of December 1950.* which relates to part of the Ngaruawahia-Waingaro Main Highway in Ngaruawahia Borough is hereby revoked.

The portions of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

SITUATED within Ngaruawahia Borough:
Havelock Road (from its junction with the Auckland-Hamilton State Highway No. 7 to a point 48 chains west of the said junction).
Huntly West Road (from the Ngaruawahia Borough boundary to a point 16 chains from the said boundary).
Old Taupiri Road (from the Ngaruawahia Borough boundary to a point 24 chains from the said boundary).
River Road (from the Ngaruawahia Borough boundary to a point 24 chains from the said boundary).
Ngaruawahia-Waingaro Main Highway No. 320 (from a point 24 chains west and south of the western end of the Waipa River Bridge to the southern boundary of Ngaruawahia Borough).

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

That the portions of roads specified in the First Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

That the roads and portions of roads specified in the Second Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*
