Decisions Under the Customs Acts

THE following decisions in interpretation of the Customs Tariff are published for public information:

PART I—DECISIONS IN INTERPRETATION OF THE TARIFF

Shovels, excavating and loading, of a rated capacity (heaped) not exceeding 2 cubic yards, for attachment to tractors (wheeled or crawler) (see also Tariff item 352—Earthmoving).
NOTE—If the shovels and supporting framework are imported attached to tractors, the latter will be classed separately under Tariff item 348 (1) if, after removing the shovel units, they are capable of performing the ordinary functions of tractors without further modification. | 253–51/6/4 |
