Authorising the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Franklin Electric Power Board to Invest Moneys in Certain Local Body Securities

THE HON. C. F. SKINNER, M.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1927 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the investment by the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Franklin Electric Power Board in debentures of the Franklin County Council, bearing interest at 5 per cent and maturing on the 6th day of May 1964, of the sum of one thousand one hundred pounds (£1,100), the said sum having been received in terms of section 22 of the said Act by the said Commissioners.

Amending an Order in Council Authorising the South Canterbury Electric Power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines and Amending an Existing Order in Council

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 29th day of January 1958 and published in the Gazette on the 6th day of February 1958, authorising the South Canterbury Electric Power Board to erect and use certain electric lines and amending an existing Order in Council, by omitting from the operative part the words “of the same year” and substituting the words and figures “of July 1924”.

The South-western Side of Portion of Frederick Street, in the City of Wellington, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the 11th day of September 1957 and set out in the First Schedule hereto in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in Wellington City, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the south-western side of the portion of Frederick Street adjoining part of the land in Town Section 238, being all (or part) of the land in certificates of title, Volume 340, folio 248 (limited), Volume 87, folio 66, Volume 340, folio 249, Volume 340, folio 250, and Volume 340, folio 251, Wellington Registry; as is more particularly shown on the plan annexed hereto.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE south-western side of all that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Frederick Street, fronting part Section 238, Town of Wellington; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155469 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The Northern Side of Hugh Street, in the City of Christchurch, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the 16th day of December 1957, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Christchurch City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Christchurch, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the northern side of Hugh Street, adjoining part Rural Section 79, being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 507, folio 48, Canterbury Registry.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE northern side of all that street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, known as Hugh Street, fronting Lots 38 and 39, D.P. 75, being part Rural Section 79.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155433 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
