Declaring Lands in South Auckland and Westland Land Districts Vested in the South Auckland and Canterbury Education Boards as sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the South Auckland Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board, as sites for public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 15 and Lot 1 of Section 8, Block IX, Whaingaroa Survey District: Total area, 1 acre 1 rood 37·7 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plans 25594, 32052.)

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 35, Town of Okarito, situated in Block XI, Okarito Survey District: Area, 1 acre, more or less (being also Sections 139, 140, 141, 142, 169, 170, 171, and 172, Town of Okarito). S.O. Roll 2/31.

Portion of Public Reserve Set Apart for a Post Office in the Borough of Opotiki

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of public reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a post office; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 17th day of March 1958.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of public reserve in the Gisborne Land District containing 9·04 perches, situated in the Borough of Opotiki, Gisborne R.D., being Allotment 445 of Section 2, Town of Opotiki, excepting thereout Lot 1, D.P. 4298.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 6th day of March 1958.

Crown Land Set Apart for a Post Office in the Borough of One Tree Hill

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a post office; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 17th day of March 1958.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of Crown land in the North Auckland Land District containing 32·5 perches, situated in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District, Borough of One Tree Hill, Auckland R.D., and being Lot 4, Deeds Plan 215. Formerly all certificate of title, Volume 529, folio 43, Auckland Land Registry (limited as to parcels).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 6th day of March 1958.
