Declaring Lands in North Auckland and South Auckland
Land Districts Vested in the Auckland and South Auckland
Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested
in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is
provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any
other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time,
by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a
school site which in his opinion is no longer required for
that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon
the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest
in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational
trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encum-
brances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of
the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of
the said Act, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto,
being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an
area vested in the South Auckland Education Board, as sites
for public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen,
freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting
the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or
easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
PART Allotments 32 and 35, Suburbs of Matakoe, situated
in Block XIV, Matakoe Survey District: Area, 4 acres. 1
rood 21·6 perches, more or less. As shown on the plan
marked L. and S. 1/1376A deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon
edged red. (S.O. Plan 37845.)

SECOND SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
PART Section 15, Block XV, Wharepapa Survey District:
Area, 2 acres 1 rood 8·8 perches, more or less. Part certificate
of title, Volume 319, folio 250. As shown on the plan marked
L. and S. 6/6/1263A deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Crown Land Set Apart for Post and Telegraph Purposes in
Block XIII, Rakaia Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for post and tele-
graph purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the 3rd day of March 1958.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of Crown land in the Canterbury Land District
containing 1 acre and 1·9 perches, situated in Block XIII,
Rakaia Survey District, Canterbury R.D., being Town Section
732, Town of Rakaia; as the same is more particularly deline-
ated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155431 (S.O. 9224) de-
posited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 19th day of February 1958.
