BAY OF ISLANDS HARBOUR BOARD
SECURITY RESOLUTION
Bay of Islands Harbour Board Loan 1956, £40,000—Portion
£12,000
Moved by Mr Perry, seconded by Mr Bott:
"That the Bay of Islands Harbour Board (hereinafter called
the Board), in pursuance and exercise of the powers con-
ferred by the Harbours Act 1950, the Bay of Islands Harbour
Board Empowering Act 1956, the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1926, and a certain Order in Council dated the 17th day
of December 1956, a notification of sanction dated the 7th
day of November 1956, and a notification of variation dated
the 22nd day of November 1957, and all other powers and
authorities it enabling hereby resolves as follows:
"1. That the Board proceed to raise a loan of £12,000 to be
known as Bay of Islands Harbour Board Loan 1956, £40;000-
Portion £12,000 (hereinafter called the said loan) for the
purpose of completing the works specified in the Bay of
Islands Harbour Board Empowering Act 1952.
"2. That the term of the said loan be 25 years commencing
on the 30th day of January 1958.
"3. That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said
loan be five per cent per annum.
"4. That the said loan be raised on terms of making the same
together with interest thereon at the rate aforesaid repayable
by fifty half-yearly instalments of £423 1s. 11d. each on the
30th day of January and the 30th day of July in each year
for the period of 25 years, the first of such instalments being
payable on the 30th day of July 1958.
"5. That the said loan be raised by the issuing of one
debenture on form 3 as set out in the First Schedule to the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956.
"6. That the security for the payment of the said debenture
be in addition to the charge upon all moneys in the Harbour
Fund a special annual-recurring rate upon all rateable
property in the Bay of Islands Harbour District, the product
of which shall not exceed the product of a rate of one-sixth
of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value as at
31 March 1952, of all rateable property in the County of
Mangonui and the Borough of Kaitaia; a rate of five-
sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved
value as at 31 March 1952, of all rateable property in the
Counties of Hokianga and Whangaroa; a rate of thirteen
thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved
value as at 31 March 1952; of all rateable property in the
County of Bay of Islands, the Borough of Kaikohe, and the
Town District of Kawakawa made and levied by a resolution
of the said Board passed on the 3rd day of October 1957,
which said rate and Harbour Fund is hereby permanently
appropriated and pledged as security for repayment of the
said loan and interest thereon.
"7. That the Common Seal of the Board be affixed to the said
debenture in the presence of the Chairman and the Treasurer,
who are hereby authorised to sign and countersign the same.
"8. That a copy of this resolution and all other resolutions
and documents relating to or relevant to the raising of the
said loan, verified by the Chairman and Secretary as correct
extracts of the minutes of the Board, may from time to time
be sealed by the Common Seal of the Board as evidence of
the same and issued."
We hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
properly constituted meeting of the Bay of Islands Harbour
Board held on the 20th day of January 1958.

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE
I, William Murray Scott, of Kyeburn, farmer, hereby give
notice that I have applied for a licence for a water race to
divert two heads of water for irrigation and stock purposes
from a point in Camp Creek in Section 14, Block II, Kyeburn
District, about two chains from the eastern boundary of said
Section 14, running thence in a south-westerly direction
through said Section 14 and terminating in my property, being
Section 3, Block I, Swinburn District.
The application and all objections thereto will be heard on
Wednesday, 21 May 1958, at 10 a.m., at the Warden's Court
at Cromwell, and all objections must be filed in the Registrar's
office and notified to the applicant or his solicitors at least
three days before the time appointed.

ADVERTISEMENT OF CANCELLING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies
Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 11th day of
February 1958, cancelled the registry of Holy Cross Branch
No. 847, a branch of the New Zealand District of the
Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (register
No. 198/100), held at Miramar, on the ground that the said
branch has ceased to exist.

general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and
1939-42 are out of print.)
