TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Timaru City Council proposes,
under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute
a certain public work, namely, the widening of the street
known as The Terrace, in the City of Timaru, and for the
purposes of such public work the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby
further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken
is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said
Council, situated in King George’s Place, Timaru, and is open
for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary
office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work, or by the taking of such lands who have any well
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections
in writing, and send the same within forty days from the
first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the
Council Chambers, King George’s Place, Timaru.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the
Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and their respective
amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and
all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that
behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for an access
way at Rangiora Avenue and Amritsar Street in the City of
Wellington, and for the purpose of such public work the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices
Building, Mercer Street, in the said City, and is there open
for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary
office hours and that all persons affected by the execution of
the said public work or the taking of such lands should, if
they have well grounded objections to the execution of the
said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth
the same in writing and send such writing within forty days
from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington
City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928
and the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, to execute the
public works hereunder mentioned and for the purposes of
which public works the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a plan
of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public
office of the said Whakatane County Council, situated at The
Strand, Whakatane, and is open for inspection without fee by
all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected
by the execution of the said public works or by the taking
of the said land must state their objections in writing and send
the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of
this notice to the Clerk of the said Council at the said office.

SCHEDULE

PART Lot 246B 2, Waimana Parish, County of Whakatane: Area, 12 acres and 21 perches. Certificate of title, 44/117. Coloured blue on S.O. Plan 38486.

The above land is required for road.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in
the Schedule hereto.

A plan showing the portions of land proposed to be taken
is available for public inspection at the office of the Tauranga
County Council, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during forty (40)
days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All
persons affected by the taking of the land and having well
grounded objections thereto are hereby called upon to set
forth their objections in writing and send the same to the
office of the Tauranga County Council on or before the 24th
day of March 1958.

NEW LYNN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Lynn Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the New Lynn Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for housing purposes, the said New Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one one pence (0·11d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of New Lynn; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 30th day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
