Extending Area of 30 Miles Per Hour Restriction
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

So much of the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 21st day of September 1951,* as relates to part of the Hamilton-Paeroa State Highway No. 17 in Waikato County is hereby revoked.

The portion of road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waikato County—
That portion of the Hamilton-Paeroa State Highway No. 17 from its junction with the Hamilton-Rotorua State Highway No. 18 to a point 27 chains along the said State highway.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Consent to Erection of Flashing Red Traffic-control Lights by the Mount Albert Borough Council
Pursuant to subclause (5) of regulation 18 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby consents to the erection of flashing red lights by the Mount Albert Borough Council at the two places described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of traffic control in terms of subclause (4) of the said regulation 18.

SITUATED within Mount Albert Borough on New North Road at the two points adjacent to the Kingsland Fire Station, more particularly indicated on Plan TT. 1787 deposited in the office of the Transport Department at Wellington.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956
Pursuant to clause (2) of regulation 41 and regulation 63 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulations red reflectors of the makes and types described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Tail lamp assemblies incorporating reflex red reflectors marked “BS 2515 (British Standards mark) GR II En-Fo Butlers Made in England” (fitted as standard equipment to Ford Anglia and Prefect cars).
Tail lamp assemblies incorporating reflex red reflectors fitted as standard equipment to Thames 15 cwt. vans and marked “Butlers. (British Standards mark) BS 2516 GRI En-Fo. (British Standards mark) BS 2515. GR II Made in England V-RTS-57”.

Time and Place of Elections by Fire Insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Boards for the Opotiki, Tauranga, and Whakatane Urban Fire Districts, and on the Fire Committees for the Mount Maunganui and Te Puke Urban Fire Districts
Pursuant to the provisions of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Wednesday, 5 March 1958, as the time, and the offices of the Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, Victoria Arcade, Auckland, as the place, for the holding of a meeting of representatives of the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to elect one member on each of the Fire Boards for the Opotiki, Tauranga, and Whakatane Urban Fire Districts, and one member on each of the Fire Committees for the Mount Maunganui and Te Puke Urban Fire Districts.
