Declaring Land to be Crown Land

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land and to be subject to the Land Act 1948.


SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 87 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being the block of land known as Waikare 15B Block, situated in Blocks XI and XII, Russell Survey District, as shown on M.L. Plan 10605²⁴.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 10th day of February 1958.

Declaring Lands in Canterbury and Otago Land Districts Vested in the Canterbury and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Canterbury Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto being an area vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.


FIRST SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 2375, situated in Block XII, Geraldine Survey District: Area, 5 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 2321L.)

Also Reserve 2334, situated in Block VIII, Burke Survey District: Area, 5 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 4465.)

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

Crown Land Set Apart for a Police Station in the Borough of Helensville

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a police station; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 17th day of February 1958.


SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of Crown land in the North Auckland Land District containing 1 acre and 24·5 perches, situated in Block XIV, Kaipara Survey District, Borough of Helensville, Auckland R.D., and being Section 34, Block XIV, Kaipara Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 40421 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of February 1958.
