ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 17th day of
December 1957
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
LICENCE

  1. This order may be cited as the Marlborough Electric
    Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1957.
  2. Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Marl-
    borough Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the
    licensee) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place,
    and use electric lines, and to construct electric works within
    the area of supply described in the First Schedule hereto.
  3. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
    the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and
    shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may
    be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
  4. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance
    by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935,
    the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference
    Regulations 1934, and with all regulations made in amend-
    ment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as
    they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
  5. The systems of supply shall be as described in para-
    graphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (h), and (j) of regula-
    tion 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The
    system of supply authorised under paragraph (j) shall be a
    single conductor earth-return system and the use thereof shall
    be subject to such terms and conditions as are from time to
    time laid down by the General Manager of the State Hydro-
    electric Department.
  6. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined,
    continue in force until the 22nd day of June 1967.
  7. The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule
    hereto authorising the Marlborough Electric Power Board to
    ereet and use electric lines are hereby revoked.

    Authorising the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board to
    Erect and use Electric Lines Within Part of the Selwyn
    County

    ORDER IN COUNCIL
    At the Government House at Wellington this 17th day of

    Present:
    HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
    PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric
    Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-
    General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
    Executive Council, hereby authorises the Springs-Ellesmere
    Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the licensee),
    subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, con-
    struct, put up, place, and use electric lines within the area
    of supply described in the Schedule hereto; and further, for
    the purpose of section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act
    1925, subject to the said conditions, hereby authorises the
    licensee to construct electric works within the said area of
    supply.
    B
    CONDITIONS
    IMPLIED CONDITIONS
  8. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences
    by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall
    form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may
    be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
    LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
  9. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance
    by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935,
    the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Inter-
    ference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter
    made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor
    respectively.
    SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
  10. The systems of supply shall be as described in para-
    graphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) of regulation 21-01
    of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
    DURATION OF LICENCE
  11. This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined,
    continue in force until the 3rd day of July 1964.
    SCHEDULE
    AREA OF SUPPLY
    All that portion of the Selwyn County included in the
    Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power District by the Proclamation
    altering the boundaries of the said district, dated the 7th day of
    October 1957, and published in the Gazette on the 10th day
    of the same month, at page 1773.

    PURSUANT to section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927,
    His Excellency the Governor-General hereby authorises
    William Munro Mackay,
    being Accountant, State Advances Corporation, Dunedin, to
    take and receive statutory declarations under that section.
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
    General this 7th day of December 1957.

    PURSUANT to section 42 of the Licensing Act 1908, His
    Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

    District of Timaru, vice William Grant, Esquire, resigned.

    PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
    of Lands hereby appoints
