AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD
SPECIAL ORDER
Loan No. 24, 1957, £2,500,000, First Issue £250,000
THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944 and its amendments and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by special resolution, intended to operate as a special order, to borrow the sum of £250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand pounds) as a special loan and to be portion of a special loan known as Loan No. 24, 1957, £2,500,000, to be applied for the purpose of erecting treatment works and the purchase and installation of equipment incidental thereto (it having been explained by the Local Authorities Loans Board that, in approving the loan for this purpose, it was understood and intended that the purpose of the loan was the carrying out of Contract 86 for the construction of the Manukau Sewage Purification Plant and the purchase and installation of equipment incidental thereto).
The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 6th day of November 1957.
It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star on the 9th day and 23rd day of November 1957, and confirmed at the ordinary general meeting of the Board on the 4th day of December 1957.
The Common Seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 4th day of December 1957, in the presence of—

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the Schedule hereto.
A plan showing the portions of land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons affected by the taking of the land, and having well grounded objections thereto, are hereby called upon to set forth their objections in writing and send the same to the office of the Tauranga County Council on or before the 6th day of January 1958.

BLUFF BOROUGH COUNCIL
BYLAW, PART XVIII
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 177 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Bluff Borough Council hereby makes, by way of special order, a bylaw to fix pedestrian crossings, bus stops, parking areas, and parking restrictions. This bylaw to become part 18 of the Bluff Borough Council’s Code of General Bylaws.
Such special order was passed at a special meeting of the Bluff Borough Council held on the 8th day of August 1957 and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 12th day of September 1957.
Such bylaw, which is open for inspection at the office of the Bluff Borough Council, is to operate as from the 16th day of December 1957.

SHANNON BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
NOTICE is hereby given that the Shannon Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 29th day of October 1957, has resolved to prepare for the Shannon Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk, Shannon, and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office on or before 3 February 1958.

ANNUAL ELECTION OF TWO MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS
I hereby give notice of the result of the annual election set down for Monday, the 2nd day of December 1957, to fill the two vacancies on the Board of Governors of Canterbury Agricultural College.
One member to be elected by such of the Members of the House of Representatives as for the time being represent electoral districts wholly or partly within the Provincial District of Canterbury.
I hereby declare William Henry Gillespie, being the only nomination received, to be duly elected to the Board of Governors to hold office for a period of three years commencing on the 1st day of January 1958.
One member to be elected by the graduates of the University of New Zealand whose names are on the books of the College and the holders of diplomas granted by the College.
I hereby declare Thomas Drummond James Holderness, being the only nomination received, to be duly elected to the Board of Governors to hold office for a period of three years commencing on the 1st day of January 1958.

I, Thomas Frederick Basire, General Manager of the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd., do solemnly and sincerely declare:
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £106,250 divided into 25,000 shares of £4 5s.
- That the number of shares issued is 25,000.
- That calls to the amount of 20s. (twenty shillings) per share have been made under which the sum of £25,000 has been received.
