Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Waitemata County
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, approval has been granted to the Waitemata County Council to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by sections as follows:
SECTION 1
The whole of the county district dealing with the following matters as set out in the Second Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Act 1953:
- The zoning or definition of areas to be used exclusively or principally for urban or rural purposes..
- Public access by main communication routes.
- Provision and preservation of amenities including the regulation and control of outdoor advertising.
- Control of subdivision, including restraint upon unnecessary encroachment of urban development upon land of high actual or potential value for the production of food.
- Land subdivisional standards in relation to any permitted use.
- Minimum site areas and dimensions in relation to uses of land and buildings.
SECTION 2, 2A, 2B, ETC.
Those parts of the county which will be defined as urban development zones in section 1 of the district scheme when approved, making provision for such of the matters referred to in the Second Schedule to the Act as are appropriate to the circumstances.
SECTION 3
That part of the county which will be defined as a rural zone in section 1 of the district scheme when approved, making provision for such of the matters referred to in the Second Schedule to the Act as are appropriate to the circumstances and have not already been provided for in section 1.

Revocation of Approval to Issue Warrants of Fitness
PURSUANT to subclause (3) of regulation 52 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the approval of the firm described in the Schedule hereto to issue warrants of fitness for motor vehicles.

Limited Speed Zone Declared
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

That Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 2nd day of June 1950* which relates to part of the Woodville-Masterton State Highway No. 3, referred to in the said Warrant as the Wellington-Napier via Wairarapa Main Highway No. 15 in Pahiatua Borough, is hereby revoked.

The portion of road specified in the first part of the Schedule to this notice is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

The portions of road specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.

That portion of the Woodville-Masterton State Highway No. 31 from the southern boundary of Pahiatua Borough to a point 3 chains south of its junction with King Street.
SITUATED within Pahiatua County—
That portion of the Woodville-Masterton State Highway No. 31 from the southern boundary of Pahiatua Borough to a point 14 chains south of the said boundary.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Rate of Vegetable Levy Fixed (Notice No. Ag. 6438)
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Vegetables Levy Act 1957, the Minister of Agriculture hereby fixes at one quarter of one per cent the rate of levy to be deducted from amounts due to vegetable growers.
