PURSUANT to section 207 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes an Order in Council made on the 7th day of March 1932 and published in Gazette on 10 March 1932, Volume I, page 477, and affecting Waiohau 1A 1A North and other blocks in Rangitaiki Lower Survey District.

Authorising Joseph Charles Minifie, of Mount Park, Coroglen, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants to Joseph Charles Minifie, of Mount Park, Coroglen (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use from an unnamed stream (hereinafter referred to as the said stream), situated in Section 5, Block VII, Whitianga Survey District, in the County of Coromandel, for the purpose hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 1 cubic foot per second at any one time.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water Power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS - This licence is issued under the Water Power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
UTILISATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS - Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity, and shall be taken from the said stream at a point in Section 5, Block VII, Whitianga Survey District, indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 93796 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS - The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 93796:
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a pipeline leading to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 130 ft.
(b) Water wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity situated in Section 5, Block VII, Whitianga Survey District.
(c) Tail race leading from the said powerhouse back to the said stream.
DURATION OF LICENCE - Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1978.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY - The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be a direct-current system.
RENTAL - For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence, the maximum generating capacity of the plant at the commencement of this licence is 4 kilowatts.
NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED - Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.

Authorising Gordon Edward Carter, of Motu, Poverty Bay, Farmer, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 18th day of November 1957

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Gordon Edward Carter, of Motu, Poverty Bay, farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS - The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS - The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY - The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be an alternating-current system.
DURATION OF LICENCE - Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1978, or until electrical energy is available from an electric power board or some other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.
SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy, by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from a generator situated in part Sections 15, 26, and 39, Block II, Motu Survey District, and proceeding:
(1) In an easterly direction to the licensee's house situated in Lot 1, D.P. 1790, of Section 26, Block II, Motu Survey District.
(2) In a westerly direction across a road to a house situated in part Section 1, part Lot 2, Block IV, Urutawa East Survey District.
All being situated in the County of Waikohu.
The said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked S.H.D. 459 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

Pursuant to section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby authorises William Reginald Matthews, being District Accountant, Public Trust Office, Napier, to take and receive statutory declarations under that section.
