ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Counties Insurance Empowering Order 1957.

  2. Consent is hereby given to the exercise by the New Zealand Counties Co-operative Insurance Company Limited of the following powers conferred by its Memorandum of Association, namely:

(a) Such of the powers conferred by paragraph (c) of clause 2 as will enable the company to carry on the business of insurance in respect of Catchment Boards and in respect of any other local authority or public body the membership of which comprises all the members of a County Council or whose powers are vested in a County Council, to the same extent as if those authorities or bodies were members of the company:

(b) The powers conferred by paragraph (e) of clause 2.

Declaring a Waiwera Farm Settlement Road to be County Road

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 18th day November 1957

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.


SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Otago Land District, Clutha County, commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 13, Block XCII, Clutha Survey District, and proceeding generally north-westerly for a distance of approximately 73 chains adjoining the said Section 13, Block XCVI, Clutha Survey District, and Section 3, Block V, Pomahaka Survey District, and terminated by that part of Lot 1, D.P. 4440, being part Section 12, Block XCVI, Clutha Survey District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 154754 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Access Ways and a Service Lane to be Under the Control and Management of the Paparua County Council

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access ways described in the First Schedule hereto and the service lane described in the Second Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Paparua County Council.


FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL those access ways in the Canterbury Land District situated in Block IX, Christchurch Survey District, described as follows:

0 0 8·5 Lot 203, D.P. 18600, being part Rural Section 4447.
0 0 8·1 Lot 204, D.P. 18600, being part Rural Section 4447.

ALL that service lane in the Canterbury Land District situated in Block IX, Christchurch Survey District, containing 34·3 perches, and being Lot 18, D.P. 18496, being part Rural Section 4447 and part Section 12b, Hei Hei Settlement.

The North-western Side of Portion of Main Street, in the City of Palmerston North, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 18th day November 1957

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 20th day of May 1957, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE

THE Palmerston North City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Palmerston North, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the north-western side of Main Street fronting a subdivision of Lot 12, D.P. 10017, Township of Palmerston North, comprised in certificate of title 497/211.


SECOND SCHEDULE

THE north-western side of all that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Palmerston North, known as Main Street, fronting Lot 12, D.P. 10017, being part Suburban Section 168, Township of Palmerston North; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 154763 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
