Land Taken for a Recreation Ground in the Borough of West Harbour

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a recreation ground and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of West Harbour, as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 25th day of November 1957.

SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces of land in the Otago Land District, situated in Upper Harbour West Survey District, Borough of West Harbour, Otago R.D., described as follows:

A. R. P. Being
0 2 25 Part Section 25.
0 0 27 Parts Sections 25 and 26.
0 0 2 Part Section 26.
0 1 24 Parts Sections 26 and 27.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 153863 (S.O. 12285) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 15th day of November 1957.

Defining the Middle Lines of the Wellington-Napier Railway (Woodville Connection)

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle lines of the Wellington-Napier railway (Woodville connection) shall be those defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point marked 114 miles 19 chains 34 links (Wellington to Woodville milage) on the existing Wellington-Napier railway and proceeding thence in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 1 mile 14 chains, passing in, into, through, or over portions of railway land in Gazette, 1887, page 1317, Rural Sections 75 and 76, Woodville (C.T. H.B. 10/68), Lots 13, 27, 26, 38, 48, and 49, D.P. 623 (C.T. H.B. 10/69), Lot 67, D.P. 623 (C.T. H.B. 72/184), Lots 62, 65, and 66, D.P. 623 (C.T. H.B. 14/55), Rural Section 118, Woodville (C.T. H.B. 94/162), railway land (C.T. H.B. 49/202), and railway land in Gazette, 1885, page 969, all in Block IV, Woodville S.D., and terminating at a point marked 17 miles 22 chains 79 links (Palmerston North to Gisborne milage) on the existing Wellington-Napier railway, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, streets, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.

All in the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14906 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 15th day of November 1957.
