Certifying Certain Premises as a Reformatory Home and as
an Inebriates Home, and Revoking the Certification of Other
Premises as Such a Home
COBHAM, Governor-General
WHEREAS pursuant to the Reformatory Institutions Act 1909,
the premises situated at 194 Owen Street, Wellington, were
certified as a reformatory home by Warrant dated the 13th day
of September 1910, and as an inebriates home by Warrant
dated the 9th day of December 1942†:
And whereas the home has been transferred to premises
situated at 126 Britomart Street, Wellington:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 9th day of December
1942 and so much of the Warrant dated the 13th day of
September 1910 as relates to the said home, and hereby certify
the premises known as the Paulina Home, 126 Britomart Street,
Wellington, to be a reformatory home and an inebriates home
under the said Act.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 18th day of October 1957.

Extending the Time for Forwarding the Report of a
Commission Appointed Under the Auckland Harbour Bridge
Act 1950
COBHAM, Governor-General
To all to whom these presents shall come, and to:
STANLEY LOGAN PATERSON, Esquire, C.B.E., of Hamilton,
Retired Stipendiary Magistrate; and
DAVID HARVEY STEEN, Esquire, of Auckland, Public
Accountant:
Greeting.
WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the 4th day of June 1957, you,
the said Stanley Logan Paterson, were constituted and ap-
pointed to be a Commission, in terms of the Auckland
Harbour Bridge Act 1950, to inquire into and report upon
certain matters relating to the payment of compensation to
employees of the Devonport Steam Ferry Co. Ltd.:
And whereas by the same Warrant, you, the said David
Harvey Steen, were appointed to assist the said Stanley Logan
Paterson as such Commission as aforesaid:
And whereas such Commission was required to submit its
report not later than the 30th day of September 1957:
And whereas the time within which such Commission was
required to submit its report was by a Warrant dated the
19th day of September 1957 extended to the 31st day of
October 1957:
And whereas it is expedient to further extend the time
within such Commission should submit its report for a period
of one month, that is, until the 30th day of November 1957.
Now, therefore, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
conferred on me by the said Act and by the Commissions of
Inquiry Act 1908, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, hereby declare and appoint that
the time at or before which you, the said Stanley Logan
Paterson, shall submit your report aforesaid is hereby ex-
tended to the 30th day of November 1957.
And I hereby declare that the provisions of the aforesaid
Warrant dated the 4th day of June 1957 shall apply as fully
and effectively in all respects as if the 30th day of November
1957 were the date originally fixed in the said Warrant as the
last day for the submission by such Commission of its report.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 23rd day of October 1957.

Pursuant to subsection (2) of section 11 of the Maori Social
