KING COUNTRY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Kuratau Transmission Loan 1957, £90,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the King
Country Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing for the interest and
other charges on a loan of £90,000 authorised to be raised
by the King Country Electric Power Board under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of providing transmission lines,
substations, and reticulation to the Kuratau, Tokaanu, and
Turangi areas and incidental thereto, the said King Country
Electric Power Board makes and levies a special rate of two
and one-quarter pence (2¼d.) in the pound on the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rate-
able property of the whole of the King Country Electric
Power Board district, and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
Certified as a correct copy of a resolution carried by the
King Country Electric Power Board on the 23rd day of
September 1957.

TEVIOT ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Southern Area Reticulation Loan 1957 of £25,000
In pursuance of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Teviot Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by the Teviot Elec-
tric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of further reticulation of the Board's district, affect-
ing areas at Lower Teviot, Rigney and Beaumont Station,
Island Block and Raes Junction, and purchase of new capital
equipment for current requirements including service lines
and meters, the said Teviot Electric Power Board hereby
makes a special rate of 1·36 pence in the £1 upon the rateable
value (upon the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable
property of the Teviot Electric Power District comprising the
whole of the Borough of Roxburgh and part of the County
of Tuapeka; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable
yearly on the 21st day of October in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen
years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed by the Teviot Electric Power Board at a
meeting held on the 25th day of September 1957.

PAPATOETOE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £1,500 authorised to be raised by the Papatoetoe
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
extension and improvements to the Papatoetoe Town Hall,
the said Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby makes a special
rate of 0·015d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property in the Borough of Papatoetoe; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
August in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off."
PAPATOETOE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £3,750 authorised to be raised by the Papatoetoe
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of erecting a staff dwelling, the said Papatoetoe
Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0232d.
in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property
of the Borough of Papatoetoe; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of not more than thirty years, or until the loan is
fully paid off."
RAUPO DRAINAGE BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
In pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the
Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Raupo Drainage Board
hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £4,000 authorised to be raised by the
Raupo Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of staff housing, the said Raupo Drainage Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a
penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable
property in the Board's area; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Machinery Loan 1956, £15,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Mangonui County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Mangonui
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
chase of machinery, the said Mangonui County Council hereby
makes a special rate of five-eighths of a penny (⅝d.) in the
pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all the rateable
property in the whole of the County of Mangonui; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate payable
yearly on the 10th day of September in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of eight years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."
We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Mangonui County
Council held in the County Council Chambers, Kaitaia, on the
18th day of September 1957, and as appearing in the minutes
of such meeting.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
Public notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County
Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928 to take for road the portions of land described in
the Schedule hereto.
A plan showing the portions of land proposed to be taken is
available for public inspection at the office of the Tauranga
County Council, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during forty (40)
days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All
persons affected by the taking of the land and having well
grounded objections thereto are hereby called upon to set
forth their objections in writing and send the same to the
office of the Tauranga County Council on or before the 11th
day of November 1957.
