Land Declarations and Takings




Pursuant to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby declares the part of the Tribal district described in the Schedule hereto to be a tribal committee area and hereby assigns to that area the name appearing at the head of the description of such area.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND TRIBAL DISTRICT

Waiohorere Tribal Committee Area

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the Punakaiki River; thence up the middle of that river to its source, and along a right line to the summit of the Paparoa Range; thence northerly along the range, passing through Mount Pecksniff to Mount Faraday; thence along a right line to the source of the Otututu River; thence down the middle of that river to its confluence with the Grey River; thence up the middle of the Grey River to its confluence with Snow Creek; thence along a right line to the summit of Mount Haast; thence south-easterly along the watershed between the Maruia and Grey Rivers to the summit of the Southern Alps; thence south-westerly along the summit of the range to the saddle between the Hurunui and Taramakau Rivers; thence down the middle of the Taramakau River to the sea coast and northerly along the sea coast to the mouth of the Punakaiki River, the place of commencement.

Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Approval of Safety Glass

Pursuant to regulation 49 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of regulation 46 (3) of the said regulations, safety glass of the type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

GLASS complying with the requirements of New Zealand Standard Specification No. 325 or British Standard 857: 1954 and bearing the registered certification mark of the British Standards Institution.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for a Public School in Block IV, Brunner Survey District

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a public school; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Moana, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the Westland Land District containing 2 roods 5·5 perches, situated in Block IV, Brunner Survey District, being Section 54, Village of Moana; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 154541 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for an aerodrome, and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the chief post office at Wellington and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to Take an Easement Over Land in Motiti Survey District for the Use, Convenience, or Enjoyment of a Maori School

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take an easement for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a Maori school over the land described in the Schedule hereto, vesting in Her Majesty the Queen, first, the full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority in perpetuity to take water from a well situated on the land first described in the said Schedule, and for that purpose to construct, use, and maintain a well and pump house thereon and to carry out any other works that are deemed necessary by Her Majesty the Queen to provide an unpolluted and adequate supply of water to the land taken for the purposes of a Maori school described in Proclamation No. 6106, Auckland Land Registry, and, secondly, the full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority in perpetuity to convey water from the said well and pump house along, under, or over the land described in the said Schedule and for that purpose to lay, construct, place, and maintain a line of pipes along, under, or over the said land described in the said Schedule, such easement to be held appurtenant to the land taken for the purposes of a Maori school by the said Proclamation No. 6106; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land over which the easement is required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Tauranga and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said easement should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the easement, set forth the same in writing, and send the writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
