Authorising the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Tauranga Electric Power Board to Invest Moneys in Certain Local Body Securities

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1927 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the investment by the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Tauranga Electric Power Board in debentures of the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board, bearing interest at $4 \frac{7}{8}$ per cent and maturing on the 24th day of January 1969, of the sum of four thousand pounds (Β£4,000), the said sum having been received in terms of section 22 of the said Act by the said Commissioners.

Amending the Wellington City Council Electric Lines Licence 1955

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Wellington City Council Electric Lines Licence 1955* by omitting from the proviso to clause 6 the words and figures "the 31st day of March 1958" and substituting the words and figures "the 31st day of March 1979".

Authorising the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Taupo and Revoking a Previous Licence

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto; and further hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 10th day of May 1939, and published in the Gazette on the 11th day of the same month, at page 1440, authorising Thomas Hurley, of Tokaanu, hotel proprietor, to erect electric lines in portion of the County of Taupo.

CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS
  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
  1. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a) and (d) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be an alternating-current system.
DURATION OF LICENCE
  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1978 or until electrical energy is available from an electric power board or some other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

CHARGES ON SALE

  1. The charge for the sale of electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. per kWh, or Β£1 15s. per year for each 100 watts of installed capacity.

SCHEDULE

Lines for the supply of electrical energy, by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee's powerhouse situated in part Section 1, Block II, Tokaanu Township, and proceeding:

(1) In a westerly direction to Puanga Street and thence:
(a) In a northerly direction along Puanga Street to three cottages and a fire station situated in part Section 1, Tokaanu Township, and a store situated in part Section 1, Block VII, Tokaanu Township.
(b) In a southerly direction along Puanga Street to a butchery and a service station situated in parts Section 1, Block VII, Tokaanu Township; thence to a pole situated at the junction of Puanga and Atutahi Streets and thence:
(i) Along Atutahi Street in an easterly direction to a police station situated in Section 22, Block II, Tokaanu Township.
(ii) Across Atutahi Street to a post office situated in Section 1, Block IV, Tokaanu Township, and thence easterly to a house situated in Section 2, Block IV, Tokaanu Township.
(iii) In a southerly direction along Puanga Street to the Domain Board office, cottage, and mineral baths in part Section 2, Block VII, Tokaanu Township.

(2) In an easterly direction to Tawera Street and thence in a northerly direction to a street light in Tawera Street.
All being situated in Block X, Puketi Survey District, in the County of Taupo, and being more particularly shown on the plan marked S.H.D. 428 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

Authorising Kenneth Farrell, of Owen River Valley, Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants to Kenneth Farrell, of Owen River Valley, farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use from Owen River (hereinafter referred to as the said stream), situated in Section 12, Block I, Hope Survey District, in the County of Murchison, for the purpose hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 3 cubic feet per second at any one time, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the lines hereinafter described.

CONDITIONS

UTILISATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS

  1. Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the said stream at the point in Section 12, Block I, Hope Survey District, indicated on the plan marked S.H.D. 448 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

  1. The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan S.H.D. 448.
    (a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a water race and pipeline leading to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to giving a static head of approximately 21 ft.
