Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described is column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Portion of Road to be a Limited Speed Zone for the Purposes of Regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956

PURSUANT to subclause (2) of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby declares the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the said regulation.

SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Hutt County.
All that portion of road at Pukerua Bay consisting of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway No. 34 from a point 24 chains south of Teihana Road to a point 16 chains north of Pa Road.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XIV, Ngamatea Survey District, for a Teacher's Residence

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a teacher's residence, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Kakatahi and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing and send the writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
