UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Public Conveniences Loan 1957 of £9,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000 authorised to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building public conveniences in Queen Street, Upper Hutt, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourteen/one twenty-fifths of a penny in the pound (0·112d. in the pound) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The foregoing resolution was passed at the special meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council held in the Council Chambers, Main Road, Upper Hutt, on Monday, the 26th day of August 1957.

LUMSDEN TOWN COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Staff Housing Loan 1957
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Lumsden Town Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,500 (to be known as Staff Housing Loan 1957) authorised to be raised by the Lumsden Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a worker's dwelling for the Council's employee, the said Lumsden Town Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three and a half pence (3½d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the town district, comprising the whole of the town district of Lumsden; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly in each and every year on the 1st day of September during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The foregoing is a copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Lumsden Town Council held in the Council's office at 6 p.m. on 19th August 1957.

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Mount Albert Tram Track Roading Loan 1957, £88,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £88,000, known as the Tram Track Roading Loan 1957, of £88,000, for the purpose of meeting the cost of restoring and improving roads, purchasing and installing traffic lights, and developing a reserve, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought eight three three (·0833d.) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
Given under the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Mount Albert this 27th day of August 1957.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C. 1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
