KAIKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and
the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kaikohe Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, to take the piece of
land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a
public street in the Borough of Kaikohe, and for the purposes
of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said
Council, situate in Broadway, and is open for inspection,
without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land who have any well
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in
writing and send the same within forty days from the first
publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Broadway, Kaikohe.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of parcel of land required to be taken:
30·5 perches.
Description of land: Part Kohewhata 65c Block; coloured
sepia on plan.
The above parcel of land being situate in the Kaikohe
Borough District in the Land Registration District of Auckland.

COUNTY OF WAIREWA

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1952

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wairewa County Council, at
its meeting held on the 11th day of January 1957, has resolved
to prepare for the County of Wairewa a district scheme as
required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning
Act 1952.

Every person and every local authority in the district is
hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its
opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed
scheme.

Proposals marked "Wairewa County District Scheme"
should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the
County Clerk's office on or before the 29th day of November
1957.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1957, £20,000

THE following resolution making special rate was passed at
the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council held on the
26th day of August 1957.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Franklin
County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000)
authorised to be raised by the Franklin County Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances
to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the
Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of decimal nought three eight pence (0·038d.) in the
pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the County of Franklin;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of July in each and every year, until the loan is
fully paid off."

TAWA FLAT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1957, £4,500

"THAT, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on Housing Loan 1957 of £4,500 authorised to be
raised under section 34 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1957 for the purpose of purchasing or erecting a dwelling,
and pursuant to the consent given by Order in Council as
contained in Gazette, No. 42, page 1085, of 30 May 1956, the
Tawa Flat Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one-eighth (⅛) of a penny in the pound on the rateable
unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough
of Tawa Flat; and that such special rate shall be an annually-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true and
correct copy of a resolution passed by the Tawa Flat Borough
Council at its ordinary meeting held on Wednesday, 28
August 1957, at 7.30 p.m.

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Malvern Road Water Supply Loan 1957, £600

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £600 authorised to be raised by the Makara County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
providing a water supply to properties in Malvern Road,
Ngauranga, in the County of Makara, the said Makara County
Council hereby makes a special rate of seven and seven-tenths
pence in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all
rateable property in Malvern Road Special Rating Area,
described below; and that the special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable
half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of
August in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid
off."

SPECIAL RATING AREA

ALL that area of land situated in the County of Makara having
a total area of 3 acres 1 rood 11·90 perches, more or less,
being Lots 1 to 9 inclusive, 18 to 22 inclusive, 24, and 25,
D.P. 9828, Block XII, Belmont Survey District, the several
properties which together comprise the said land being numbered
on the District Valuation Roll of the County of
Makara Nos. 1642/254–258 inclusive, 1642/260–262 inclusive,
and 1642/266–269 inclusive.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at
a special meeting of the Makara County Council held on
Friday, the 14th day of June 1957.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Normandale Sewerage Loan 1957, £24,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of twenty-four thousand pounds (£24,000)
authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing sewerage
in Normandale, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and twenty-nine
thousandths of a penny (0·129d.) in the pound (£) on
the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all
rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the
1st day of August in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until
the loan is paid off."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the
26th day of August 1957.
