Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a
Road at Mangaroa

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric
Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New
Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in
the Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be
under the control of the Hutt County Council and shall be
maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public
highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14416 de-
posed in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington,
and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New
Zealand, this 30th day of August 1957.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General
the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the
Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby
revoke the Proclamation dated the 7th day of July 1952 and
published in the Gazette of that year at page 1175, and de-
posed in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 13576,
in so far as it effects Lot 2, D.P. 42275, being portion of
Allotment 90, Titirangi Parish, and being all the land com-
prised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1177,
folio 61, Auckland Registry; also Lot 11, D.P. 17592 (Town
of Edendale Extension No. 14), being part Allotment 92,
Titirangi Parish, and being all the land comprised and des-
cried in certificate of title, Volume 451, folio 135, Auckland
Registry; also part Lot 10, D.P. 17592, being part Allotment
92, Titirangi Parish, and being the balance of the land com-
prised in certificate of title, Volume 968, folio 122, Auckland
Registry.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto
being taken for municipal buildings.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the North Auckland Land District
containing 2·07 perches, situated in Block XVI, Waitemata
Survey District, City of Auckland, Auckland R.D., and being
part Lot 10, D.P. 2832, being part Allotment 47 of Section 28,
City of Auckland; as the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 154254 (S.O. 40171) deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured yellow.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces of land in the North Auckland Land District,

His EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby authorises the Auckland City Council to permit the
laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule
hereto at a width of less than 66 ft., but not less than 54 ft.,
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on
the plan marked P.W.D. 154255, referred to in the said
Schedule within a distance of 15 ft., from the side line of the
said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District,
situated in the City of Auckland, containing by admeasurement
1 acre 1 rood 12 perches, more or less, being part Lot 2, D.P.
4801, being part Allotment 66, Parish of Titirangi; as the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 154255 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works
at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Partially Cancelling a Condition as to Setting Back the
Building Line of Portion of Garrett Street, in the City of
Wellington, Imposed by Order in Council Under Section

IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 131 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby amends the Order in Council, dated the 11th day of
January 1922, and published in Gazette, 12 January 1922,
Volume I, page 18, and deposited in the Land Registry Office
at Wellington under No. 941, exempting portion of Garrett
Street in the City of Wellington from the provisions of section
117 of the Public Works Act 1908, subject to a condition as to
the building line, by cancelling the condition as to the build-
ing line imposed by the said Order in Council, in so far as it
effects Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 5427, being parts Section 148, Town
of Wellington. All certificates of title, Volume 286, folio 46,
and Volume 286, folio 47, Wellington Land Registry.
