Land and Easements Over Land Taken for Defence Purposes
in Block IX, Christchurch Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for defence purposes; and I also hereby proclaim and declare that an easement is hereby taken for defence purposes over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, vesting in Her Majesty the Queen the full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority in perpetuity to construct and use a right of way, with the right for Her Majesty’s invitees, servants, agents, and workmen (in common with the owners or occupiers for the time being of the land in certificates of title, Volume 92, folio 160; Volume 92, folio 161; Volume 33, folio 76, and Volume 363, folio 67, Canterbury Land Registry, their invitees, servants, tenants, agents, and workmen, and in common with any other person or persons now or at any time or times hereafter entitled to any easement of right of way howsoever granted over the land in the said Second Schedule) from time to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass, and repass, with or without horses or other animals or vehicles, over the land in the said Second Schedule, and to maintain, repair, and keep open the said right of way for the purpose of providing access to the land described in the said First Schedule, such easement to be held appurtenant to the land described in the said First Schedule; and I also hereby proclaim and declare that an easement is hereby taken for defence purposes over the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, vesting in Her Majesty the Queen the full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority in perpetuity to take water from the well and pumphouse adjoining the southern end of the land described in the Third Schedule hereto and to convey such water from the said well and pumphouse to the land described in the said First Schedule along under or over the land described in the said Third Schedule, and for that purpose to lay, construct, place, and maintain a line of pipes along, under, or over the land described in the said Third Schedule and to use the electric pump or such other mechanical plant and equipment for the time being in use in the said pumphouse, such easement to be held appurtenant to the land described in the said First Schedule.

ALL that piece of land in the Canterbury Land District containing 1 rood 11·8 perches, situated in Block IX, Christchurch Survey District, Canterbury R.D., being part Rural Section 3354; coloured sepia on plan.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL those pieces of land in the Canterbury Land District, situated in Block IX, Christchurch Survey District, Canterbury R.D., described as follows:

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for library purposes and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 9th day of September 1957.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land in the Wellington Land District containing 8·23 perches, situated in the City of Wellington, being part Lot 85, D.P. 1087, being part Section 29, Karori District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 154262 (S.O. 23723) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto is hereby taken for municipal buildings and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 9th day of September 1957.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land in the North Auckland Land District containing 2·07 perches, situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District, City of Auckland, Auckland R.D., and being part Lot 10, D.P. 2832, being part Allotment 47 of Section 28, City of Auckland; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 154254 (S.O. 40171) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL those pieces of land in the North Auckland Land District, situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District, City of Auckland, Auckland R.D., described as follows:
