Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be
Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests
Act 1949, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold
Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of
New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the
Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto, being provisional State forest No. 1742 set apart by
Proclamation dated the 7th day of October 1930, and pub-
lished in Gazette, 9 October 1930, Vol. III, page 3128, is
required for settlement purposes; and in accordance
with the provisions of the said Act such land shall,
from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be
provisional State forest land and shall become Crown land
available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition
under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.
SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 1742 (formerly part Rural Sections 3286 and 3288),
situated in Block IV, Waimea Survey District: Area, 210
acres, more or less.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New
Zealand, this 30th day of August 1957.

Declaring Maori Land to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land
in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land and to be subject to
the Land Act 1948.
SCHEDULE
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 161 acres 3 roods 28
perches, more or less, being Section 49E 1, Big Bay, Maori
Block, Block VII, Gore Survey District, subject to a right of
way appurtenant to Section 49E 2, and being part of the land
in certificate of title, Volume 15, folio 280; as is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan numbered S.O. 1246 lodged
in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Blenheim.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 20th day of June 1957.

Crown Land Set Apart for Buildings of the General
Government in Block X, Puketi Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General
the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the
Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for buildings of the
General Government; and I also declare that this Proclama-
tion shall take effect on and after the 9th day of September
1957.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land in the Wellington Land District con-
taining 1 acre 1 rood 9·9 perches, situated in Block X,
Puketi Survey District, Wellington R.D., being Sections 24,
25, 26, 27, and 28, Block VI, Town of Turangi, as shown on
a plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wel-
ington as No. 22658.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New
Zealand, this 23rd day of August 1957.
