GREEN ISLAND BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Green Island Borough Council made on the 7th day of August 1956, an amendment to the district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The amending scheme relates to the inner area of the borough. The proposed amending scheme has been deposited in the Town Clerk's office, Green Island, and is there open for inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the office is open to the public.

Objections to the proposed amending scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the form No. 4 (obtainable from the undersigned) prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Green Island Borough Council at any time not later than the 3rd day of December 1957. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the undersigned in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open to inspection at the office of the Council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within forty days from the first publication of this notice.

CITY OF DUNEDIN

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

Notice is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin (hereinafter called "the said corporation") proposes, under the provisions of the abovementioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, to widen Carson Street in the City of Dunedin, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the land so required to be taken is all the land comprised in a separate lot shown on a plan deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Dunedin; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk of the said corporation.

THAT piece of land containing 3-8 poles being Lots 2 and 3, Deposited Plan No. 8902, Glen Estate, and being part Section 68, Block VI, Town District, in the Land District of Otago.

PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of thirty-two thousand pounds (£32,000) authorised to be raised by the Pukekohe Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the erection of municipal chambers and a public library, the said Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of six hundred and seven-one thousandths of a penny (0-607d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Pukekohe comprising the whole of the Borough of Pukekohe; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council held on the 21st day of August 1957.

COUNTY OF ASHBURTON

RURAL HOUSING LOAN

Making of Special Rate

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ashburton County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £12,000 authorised to be raised by the Ashburton County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Ashburton County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0-00749 pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Ashburton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

OHURA TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1956, £3,300

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it that in behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Ohura Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,300 authorised to be raised by the Ohura Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a house for a works employee, the said Ohura Town Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three and one-eighth pence in the pound upon the rateable property of the Town Council area of Ohura; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be repayable in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until such loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Ohura Town Council on 13 August 1956.

WOODVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Woodville Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorised to be raised by the Woodville Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for street improvement (sealing) purposes, the said Woodville Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of six decimal seven pence (6·7d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Woodville; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
