Declaring Lands in North Auckland and Otago Land Districts
Vested in the Auckland and Otago Education Boards as
Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the
Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is
provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any
other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time,
by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a
school site which in his opinion is no longer required for
that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon
the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest
in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational
trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encum-
brances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date
of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of
the said Act, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir
Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Govern-
ment of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the
lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas
vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the land de-
scribed in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested
in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall
be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged
from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to
all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the
same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

PART Lot 12, Deeds Plan W. 38, being part Allotment 1,
Mangawhai Parish, situated in Block III, Mangawhai Survey
District: Area, 1 acre, more or less. All certificate of title,
Volume 577, folio 180 (limited as to parcels and title). As
shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1182 deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wel-
ington, and thereon edged red.

Part Allotment 30, Parish of Maungakaramea. Balance cer-
tificate of title, Volume 551, folio 182 (limited as to parcels
and title).

Also Allotment 174, Parish of Maungakaramea. All cer-
tificate of title, Volume 734, folio 262.

Both situated in Block III, Tangihua Survey District: Total
area, 5 acres and 39Β·8 perches, more or less. As shown on
the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1242L deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

PART Lot 2, D.P. 7534, being Sections 9, 10, 14, and 15, and
part Sections 8 and 16, Block V, Town of Kurow: Area, 1
acre and 25Β·16 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title,
Volume 358, folio 5. As shown on the plan marked L. and S.
6/6/1012A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be
Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests
Act 1949, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold
Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of
New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the
Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto, being part of provisional State forest No. 29 set apart
by Proclamation dated the 17th day of April 1930, and pub-
lished in Gazette, 24 April 1930, Volume I, page 1463, is re-
quired for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the
provisions of the said Act such land shall, from and after the
day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State
forest land and shall become Crown land available for sale,
lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of
the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1,404 acres, more
or less, being part of provisional State forest No. 29, situated
in Block XII, Dart Survey District. As shown on the plan
marked L. and S. 1/998A deposited in the Head Office, De-
partment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
edged red. (S.O. Plan 12030L.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New
Zealand, this 23rd day of August 1957.
